The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWith the first pick the Of the 2011 draft the Cleveland Cavs draft Kyrie Irving…Classic no brainer, they get the best point guard in point guard’s league, thinking ahead the Cavs own the 4th pick this year and a high pick in deep class in 2012, they can always get a scoring F down the line…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 3:24pm #534128
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantEnes Kanter C Turkey…they draft the best C prospect thus creating a great collection of big men(Love, Kanter, Randolph, Darko and Beasley playing spot minutes at Pf…) Kaun is going to draft as if he has his Pg, Sf and Pf of the future, Darko and Randolph compliment the Trio of Beasley, Love and Kanter nicely with their athletism and versatility…maybe adding another highly regarded euro prospect makes Minnesota more appealing to Ricky Rubio…

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantJan Vessely F Czech Republic…the Jazz have a way of making shocking moves that normally work out very nicely…so with the Russian machine gun likely signing with New Jersey in free agency the Jazz select the next great Lock down Sf/Pf with athletism and range to boot, they pass on Williams and Knight for a special European prospect that perfectly fits their system and long term plans with Favors/Jefferson and Millsap…Harris and Hayward will be a nice backcourt with Vessely, Jefferson and Favors playing in the frontcourt…Williams and Knight would be throw on a team that has a system and style in place and likely wouldn’t live up their potential in Salt Lake…building around Favors and Jefferson(momentarily) adding a do it all Sf with great size and skill makes perfect sense…

TRC1991Participantwith the 4th pick, cleveland takes derrick williams. duh!

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWhat was so funny though ,my daughter wants to know why you were hating on her father…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 4:02pm #534142
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThe Cavs select Derrick Williams F Arizona…pairing The “census” 1 and 2 BPA going into the draft, team need(Minnesota) and team chemistry(Utah) give Cleveland a home run draft…Williams gets to play Sf, and play for the city he campaigned to be drafted by # 1 …Ye should have a nice chip on his shoulders and have something to prove to Minnesota and Utah as well…hoping next year pans out as planes they’ll add the Sg of the future…

Lotto StudParticipantHow much clock time you gonna use for each pick?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 4:24pm #534144
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWith Calderon and Bayless on board at Pg(Jose’s contract is super ugly and likely untradable and Bayless has loads of potential) the Raps pass on 3 great scoring point guards, pass on drafting a high risk Sf with the great crop coming out next year and select the best C available and finally slide Bargnani back to Pf…although they leave talent on the board and their fan base will riot they fill a need at C and stay in the Top 5 hunt for the 2012 bonanza…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 4:28pm #534145
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantI did this in depth on 2k with every team …I took a lot into account…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 4:42pm #534150
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantPg check, 2 young scorers double check, they have a hole at Sf but with next years crop and Washington likely to be at the bottom of the east again why not take a high risk high reward big that at the very least makes Blatche and Mcgee work harder in practice, adding a great rebounder and defender with offensive potential can’t hurt, the emergence of Serge Ibaka has people looking at Bismack with an open mind…Kemba and Brandon again snubbed for a foreign prospect…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 4:44pm #534151

LOFTYParticipanti like the way you are doing this mock. i like to see more in depth team by team break down. thanks!

Lotto StudParticipantAre you gonna just do the 1st Round tonight & finish the 2nd Round tomorrow or you’re gonna do it all in 1 wop?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 4:56pm #534158
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThe Anti Wall/Rose slides a few spots and lands on a team with 2 other stud wildcats…he’s the perfect off guard to combo with Evans, either can play the lead dog on the break, Brandon has a good catch and shoot game, Kings luck out in a deep International draft, The fact that most teams drafting before them didn’t need point guard over other positions…another high pick next year(Terrence Jones, Mike Gilchrist or Anthony Davis???)
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 5:00pm #534162
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantAny thoughts so far guys???…i know there are a few shocking picks already…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 5:05pm #534164
Lotto StudParticipantHow far must Kemba or Jimmer slide with Knight going #7
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 5:08pm #534166

KayjayParticipantSound like legit picks to me.I wish the draft would get here already and that they would tell me if there is going to be a lock out next year. I want to see my fucking team evolve the way the thunder and Grizzlies did. >: T
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 5:13pm #534169

What The DevilParticipantI would be content for the Kings to draft Knight, but I doubt he makes it that far…I actually like this mock so far.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 5:22pm #534172
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThe Pistons keep the U Conn connection going with the selection of Kemba Walker, they likely lose Tayshuan through free agency and Sign and trade Stuckey for a few role players…starting over with Kemba at point guard, The Rip/ Big Ben combo, Charlie V and Greg Monroe at F plus whatever they net for Rodney Stuckey in the off-season(hopefully a C and one year starter at Sf…) Kemba brings a great competitive spirit to the floor and he and Ben can be flat out deadly at times , though they will give up some points too…they are on rebuild mode and can afford to grab Kemba and play for a top 5 pick in next years draft…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 5:24pm #534173

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantWho are the other two wildcats on the Kings?
You know Tyreke went to Memphis right?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 5:26pm #534174
bigblackNbeautifulParticipantI think he meant Calipari players with Tyreke and Demarcus
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 5:27pm #534176

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantYeah, I figured
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 5:39pm #534180
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantChris Singleton F Florida State…with Joel likely to leave to a contender in free agency the Cats may not want to run Kwame or Diop at C for the start of another year, although that need is glaring they may not want to take a risk on any C with the 9th pick, they also lost a lot of heart, soul and namely defense and athletism after they traded away Wallace to the Blazes, so the add the best defender and pure athlete arguably in the draft and a bonus he’s got potential on offense…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 5:43pm #534184
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThrough FA…I did mean Calipari guys at 1st, thanks for keeping me honest…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 5:46pm #534185

OhCanada-ParticipantTheres a reach, good idea though I dont think he will climb that high especially with Leonard on the board…I like the jazz selecting Vesely alot.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 5:53pm #534187
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantYes they traded Dirk for the late Tractor Traylor, yes they drafted a 7 footer with similar size and skill with Yi when the Yi camp wanted no part of Wisconsin, yes they drafted a kid that needed more time in college in Joe Alexander and yes I have them taking a highly gifted offensive player from Lithuania to complete the International domination of the top 10…in all seriousness Donatas has some holes in game especially on D and rebounding but with guys like Bogut,Mbah Moute and Larry Sanders on board he just needs to hit that jumper and play in the low post area consistently…if can be a good compliment to Bogut down the line, your taking a marginal risk on at worst a role player pick anyway…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 6:06pm #534190

LOFTYParticipantWOW crow you are getting some serious points on this! nice work!
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 6:07pm #534191
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWith Curry and Ellis scoring points in bunches and a glut of rebounding/defensive bigs adding a long versatile wing that plays both ends of the floor and can guard both Sg’s and Sf’s…he also has nice potential and played close by…this may be a teach for him, but he has a lot more offensive potential than Leonard and is far less selfish than Jordan Hamilton…he’ll fit right in and could be a pleasant suprise…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 6:10pm #534192
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantAny picks u like or dislike, feel free to pick at it a bit…every mock should be open to some scrutiny and debate…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 6:15pm #534194

LOFTYParticipantim looking forward to see how Jan Vessely does in his work out with the jazz. i think he will be a good fit.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 6:15pm #534193
aamir543ParticipantHey scare crow, when you were analyzing the kings pick you said Knight joins two stud wild cats. Although Tyreke Evans played for coach cal, he played at memphis not kentucky.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 6:21pm #534197
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantJimmer and the Jazz are a perfect fit, though people may hate his height and hand size, his ability to break down defenders and hit 3’s will quiet all doubters…this is also a Very good PR and Team Chemistry pick, the Jazz add the most notable Collegiate athlete and prolific scorer…though he may not look like the guy who can take over a game and defeat championship caliber players and teams, hut neither did JJ Barea…Jimmer is a bigger and better Barea and will be a starter in the Utah System, if he loses some weight to add quickness and takes about few leasons from Jazz great John Stockton, he be just fine, having Jefferson, Favors, Millsap, Harris, Hayward and Vessely will not a young point guard, and he’ll help them spread the floor with his trademark ” Jimmer Range “…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 6:22pm #534198

LOFTYParticipant@aamir543 read up a little bit. they already talked about that one
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 6:29pm #534200
goneParticipantWiz trade 6th (alec burks) and 18th (BPA) for Twolves 2nd (Kanter)
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 6:37pm #534203
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWith Hill and Carter likely to move on the Suns will be left with holes in their starting 5, Childress and Dudley are good back up wings and Leonard’s defense and athletism could mirror Shawn Marion at times, at this point in Nash’s career he could go for one last run or be traded to a contender in a complete shocker, having Brooks only complicates things as he could be signed and traded in the off season for the pieces Nash needs to make one last run(yes I still believe in the Nash)…If Brooks is kept as the long term Pg then you might as well surround him with defenders and rebounders, something Leonard does well…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 6:41pm #534205
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantLike maybe # 6 pick Alec Burks and Javale Mcgee for # 2 pick Enes Kanter…???
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 6:46pm #534207
Lotto StudParticipantI’m really interested to see where Burks fall.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 6:49pm #534208
Lotto StudParticipantI can see you giving Houston Markieff Morris.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 6:51pm #534209
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantYes they have a hole at C with Yao’s injury crisis, Brad Miller is likely to move on and Thabeet may or may not be able to play a lick of basketball, the second question is simply this ” is Kevin Martin the answer at Sg, can Budinger step up and be a full time starter and will Terrence Williams ever live up to his potential”…since there are too many questions as the comic book villain the Riddler said you might as well roll the dice on a great scoring wing who happened to play in Texas…if Jordan is one of the prospects that goes boom GM Morey looks like a genius…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 7:03pm #534217
Lotto StudParticipantHow are you determining this on NBA 2k? I don’t play 2k so I have no clue.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 7:05pm #534220
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantUYes they may have a high energy guy at Pf in Pyscho T but they could still use a full time starter, Tristan may not be ready yet but in time he could be a high value pick…he’s an aggressive shot blocked, he can run the floor and finish, if he adds some strength and q consistent mid range jumper he’ll be a very good player for years…at this point you add great potential and athletism…Hibbert could use two very active Forwards around him…Tristan and Tyler would be just that…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 7:09pm #534224
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantMost of the time I go through the draft profess a hundred times…I play with players in multiple systems and see how the team progresses with them and of course how the players progress themselves…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 7:14pm #534229
Lotto StudParticipantAlright now Philly is OTC this has to be Markieff! They need a replacement for Brand.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 7:21pm #534235
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThe Sixers need toughness and size on the inside with this pick choose a hometown kid that played very aggressive behind his more offensively gifted twin at Kansas, the defense and interior grit Markieff provides plus the inch in height makes him the choice over his twin brother, Markieff also provides more energy than the ever fading Speights, hopefully Markeiff Morris could develop into Brand’s successor at Pf, something the Sixers need as bad as a true C and Turner to become our scoring Sg, two things we Sixers fans will wait for until we find it…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 7:24pm #534237

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI don’t think the Rockets would go for another swingman. They already have multiple guys that can play the G/F position with Budinger, Lee, Martin, and Williams. I think they would go big, even if it’s for an international guy or a reach. The Rockets will eventually trade up or trade down in this draft, I can bet on it.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 7:34pm #534246
Lotto StudParticipantNew York OTC……..Burks or Morris
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 7:43pm #534253
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThe more offense of the two twins goes to a place where offense is King…in the big Apple Marcus will be behind both Melo and Amare but he can fill in for both at times…he’d be the ideal 6th man and with some development could even be an heir to Amare once injuries and time catch up, he’d be put in a role similar to Boris Diaw minus the passing and defense plus on 3 point shooting and offensive aggression…the Twins will play on Division Rivals for the next 5 years and only time tell who is truly better…the defensive Markeiff or the offensive Marcus, either way Mama Morris will be proud come draft night…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 7:52pm #534261
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThey are not as set at Sf as many people think, Chase could be a great 6th man but I’m not sure about him as a full time starter, Williams seems like he’s not determined to play up to his ability, Martin is a Sharp shooter with a hefty contract plus I can see him traded, Lee is another guy that has a lot of value in the trade market for contenders like Chicago and Dallas(Asik, Haywood or picks)…I’m sure they want a big man but they may have to wait a while on Thabeet or Center X…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 8:10pm #534274
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThe Bobcats do have DJ Augustin at Pg and Gerald Wallace at Sg in place long term buy they could use a combo guard to spell them both, at 19 this is a safe pick, and the Charlotte brass get a glue guy…Nolan can D up and hit the open 3…rounding out their 1st round with Singleton and Smith and going defense and athletism at Sf/Pf and Pg/Sg
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/20/2011 - 8:18pm #534279
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantTimberwolves selected Kanter to play C full-time and now draft Burks to play both guard spots, he’s may sleeper pick and Kaun will finally get one draft right if he gets Kanter 2nd and Best wing player at 20 in this case Burks who falls a bit do to teams needs and situational circumstances…Alec can be a very good guard and paired with Beasley and Johnson OJ the wings will provide great length and athletism…if Rubio ever comes over he’ll now have a solid team around him…Burks may not blow people but he will be nice addition to any roster…
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 3:37am #534316
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantSorry I had to sleep last night…
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 5:23am #534341
Lotto StudParticipantNolan is a BIG reach
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 7:11am #534363
Lotto StudParticipantUmmmmm You skipped Washington at #18
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 9:02am #534414
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWith the 18th pick the Wizards select Tobias Harris F Tennessee…with a hole in the middle of the line up they add a did it all player like Harris who can be a solid role player for years…he’s one of my biggest sleepers in the draft, I feel like he’s the perfect sf/pf off the bench for Washington at 18…He can rebound, post and pass, and is a very under rated athlete and scorer…
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 9:07am #534416
Lotto StudParticipantI don’t think he will be able to check Bron or Melo
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 9:17am #534419
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantYes they have Brandon Roy, Wes Mattews and Rudy Fernadez under contract , but with Roy’s injury concerns and Rudy’s interest to play elsewhere they add a great shooter to play off Brandon Roy( who may play more point guard with Miller likely to move on )…Wes looks like the Sg for now, while Thompson may surprise many and take over that job in the future…there is a need for more bigs in the rotation, but they get one of the best players available who can also provide insurance for Roy and Rudy…and it doesn’t hurt that jw played his college ball close by…
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 9:18am #534421
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantTobias Harris???
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 9:22am #534423
Lotto StudParticipantYes Harris……I see a lot of people post about his defense.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 9:35am #534428
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantNot impossible, all he has to do is chase John Wall around all summer, also guys like Maurice Green have trained players on speed techniques, he could get a lot better at that part of his game yes , but he’s a very good prospect
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 9:43am #534434
Lotto StudParticipantNext pick please because this is getting interesting with players falling
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 9:45am #534435
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWith Kenyon Martin likely to leave in leave in free agency and Birdman losing some of his soaring ability the Nuggets get a good prospect to pair next to Nene, Johnson is long , athletic and can block shots…if he ever adds some strength and becomes consistent he can be a steal this late in the 1st…most positions are set accept for Pf, so a low risk high reward guy like Johnson makes sense…
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 9:58am #534439
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWith Yao in injury crisis and the the Rockets pretty set at most positions minus C they take a flier on an athletic big with shot blocking ability , ,,yes he and Thabeet would mean the Rockets have two potentially great shot lockers, they also have two huge mysteries, something the Rockets seem to like…
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 10:15am #534442
Lotto StudParticipant6’11” prospect I love the pick, but now that I thought about it he would be best slated for Philly
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 10:44am #534450
Lotto StudParticipantDon’t string us along……Keep em coming!
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 11:28am #534463
aamir543ParticipantI want to see Jeremy Tyler fall to OCK. If he pans out (remember, we thought he would go number 1 two years ago) than this OKC team is going ot be scary for the next ten years. You have Westbrook and Durant, plus Harden and Ibaka who are improving by the minute, plus a young grind it out big in Perkins. and off the bench you have Maynor, Sefolosha, Cook, Aldrich if he can live up to the hype, and maybee even Tyler. I am telling you, if Lebron wanted a ring, he should have signed a one year deal with the Thunder!
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 12:31pm #534472
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantSam Presti is known for the draft and stash, but he also grabs top talent when available, they draft a high high reward type combo guard who could put OKC in an enviable position, they could always trade him to a team that wants him for the right price…either way Selby cracks the first round and could become the steal of the draft…he could be Monta Ellis or Marcus Banks…
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 12:35pm #534475
Lotto StudParticipantNo f*ckin way I’m gonna even believe this pick LOL…… PGs Westbrook, Maynor, Robinson, Ivey. SGs Sefolosha, Harden, Cook…………. Where does he fit???????
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 12:42pm #534477
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantNate is gone next year, Maynor is a back up and Westbrook may be a Sg, Harden isn’t a lock to stay after his rookie deal and Thabo is a role player, I see no reason they can’t add a dynamic guard with the 25th pick…not like they need any Big men to the point they reach…and in case u haven’t been watching Westbrook and the Media are pushing him out of OKC…
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 1:04pm #534481
Lotto StudParticipantHe would be glued to the pine in OKC
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/21/2011 - 1:29pm #534482

What The DevilParticipantAnyone the Thunder pick would be glued to the bench probably
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/22/2011 - 8:03am #534631
