Vivid5292ParticipantI credit the Mavs & Dirk Nowitzki for the win tonight. It was a great performance nonetheless. but let’s be real. 24 free throws? C’mon son. Stop that. The refs were calling petty fouls & Dirk honestly didn’t earn all those trips to the line. However, I believe the Thunder will make an adjustment to just let him do his thing without crowding him so much. That, added with better play from Russel Westbrook & the rest of the Thunder players will lead them to winning this series in 6. If it took 48 from Dirk for the Mavs to beat the Thunder by only 9 then they will be in trouble. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the Thunder will be fine. Oh & put Barea under pressure too. That should help them out a lot.
Thoughts?

topotamolderParticipantWell Durant went 19 times to the free throw line as well and a lot of those were bullshit calls. Welcome to the NBA and welcome to the playoffs.

NYK2010ParticipantDon’t expect Durant to get 40 again either.
The Mavs just too deep for the Thunder.

mgreener_34ParticipantThe refs made a statement tonight that this game was going to have no physicality to it what so ever. The epitome of the game for me was when the Thunder finally put Durant on Dirk, and the refs call back to back touch calls. Double techs to begin the game too…just absurd. The Thunder should feel good about themselves. They never really let it get to out of hand, and Westbrook played like garbage as he usually does when they need him not to.

Sasha4MVPParticipantMan if the Mavs keep shooting like this then they’ll be unstoppable….but look what happened to the Spurs when their shots weren’t falling.
OKC needs to send over another man to get the ball out of Dirk’s hand but obviously don’t leave Jason Terry open. Good things happen when Dirk is forced to pass. Make the rest of the Mavs hit big shots.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantSomeone needs to stop Barea. The guy plays 16 minutes and gets 21 points.

BeenieParticipant@vivid, I don’t think OKC has a chance here, well I may be I may be wrong, but I doubt it (charles barkley voice). Because don’t forget the only reason why the thunder beat Memphis was the grizz’ lack of outside shooting. for example even though He makes those shots sometimes, don’t forget Battier was missing wide open 3’s with nobody near him, and don’t even think of tony Allen hitting one or sam young and that’s what got them eescaping, now that won’t happen with the mavs because even with hand in their face they make it, then you got dirk who is just deadly man, toughest player to guard since I’ve been watching ball, then you double on him he makes the extra pass that will result in a 3. so now you have 2 choices, let dirk kill you, or double him then he will let the jet, peja, jkidd and barea kill you. And get ready to see westbrook go out of control next game.

NYK2010ParticipantHow many touch fouls were called on Terry and Chandler.
OKC was foolish in fouling Dirk he’s not a weak free throw shooter, doesn’t make sense to put him on the line so much. He probably would’ve made a lot of his shots anyway but make him earn it from the field with someone defending him. Players need to adjust there game according to the refs esp. since it was obvious from the start.
