TyroberParticipantRight now the HEAT are 8 wins away from an NBA Championship. So if the HEAT win in year one what happens to years 2,3,4,5,6, etc. They will only continue to get better. Hopefully the new CBA will allow many exceptions for teams over the cap to use. Is that scary for the league or good to have a team to root against?

the I in winParticipantThe Heat beat but didn’t dominate the Celtics which makes me believe they are not that much better. True they will get better in the off season and every off season to come for the next 5 years but I don’t think they will ever be considered unbeatable. Lets remember the Knicks will do just as good if not better in free agency for years to come.

ghettosermonParticipantAnd other teams won’t continue to get better?

raybeasParticipantbefore we declare them a dynasty. Heck, two or three. Nothing is guaranteed. Not that they will win this one. Not that they will get better every year. Certainly not that the new cba will be conducive to maintaining "super teams". A hard cap and non-guaranteed contracts would break up teams like Miami real quick.

BasketballGuru24ParticipantIf heat win i guarantee other teams will make sure they form their own " Big 3" players like dwight, cp3, blake griffin, deron williams, joe johnson are going to get tired of losing and will eventually want to use their talents to win championship.
I use to like to see the best players battle it out and win championships but now they all want to play with each other. The leagues on some soft shit

esperanzafleet69Participantlast time i checked, beating the celts 4-1 in a series is considered a domination… no other team has EVER done that to that groups of celts…

TheFactionCoalition.comParticipantThat’s an old group of Celtics though. I think the Heat will beat the Bulls, but win or lose I think it will be a better gauge of their ability than the previous two series.

apb540ParticipantBBallguru24 is right on. The league is pretty kitten right now. I now hate the Heat more than the Mets, Marlins, Giants (NY & SF), Foreskins, Patriots, and maybe even the Braves. They’re tied with the Cowboys in my book.
