I hope you guys saw that play towards the end of the 3rd. Did Jamal Crawford really try to dunk on Derrick Rose like that? He went straight up and the only reason they called a foul was because Crawford lost the ball. Otherwise, he would’ve gotten stuffed big time.

Anyways, this a good game for the Bulls so far. Their defense has been incredible & they’ve been sharing the ball beautifully. Boozer is finally taking the initiative and shooting the ball & shooting it well. Derrick Rose out there working with him like D-Will did in their Utah years, just rackin up those assists. That beautiful pick and pop play. Bulls are cruisin’ right now but working hard.

As for the Hawks, they’re just not playing hard right now. I would love for this to be a better game. When they play hard, we see great basketball & a competitive game, but they’re just too inconsistent. Josh Smith seems to be the only one trying tonight.

What are all of your thoughts on the game?

I was thinking the same thing he got lucky he lost the ball because that was about to be one of the blocks of the year. The result was a very high high five. Great game from the Bulls. This is how they need to play if they want a shot at getting past Miami. There defense needs to play like this everygame not just everygame.

Also props to Boozer for hitting his shots. Bulls are going to need him to do that vs Miami. Omer Asik looked like an absolute beast on defense tonight. I love this guy off the bench I think he has a chance to be one of the best defensive big men in the league.

I think Asik has more upside that Chris Dudley, he’s really advanced very quickly as a defender and is extremely hard to shoot over.  When many rookies are worrying about foul trouble, he goes up with two hands and doesn’t foul and is a very good help side shot blocker.

He’s massive and he uses his size well, and he’s fairly athletic for someone his size.  On offense, yeah, he’s like Dudley, but I feel Asik can be an elite post defender in a few years.

Asik was the X-Factor for the Bulls this year. No one saw it coming that he would show up and play basically first-string NBA level defense, except he is doing it off the bench and for cheap money. Knicks would love to have him paired with Amare.
