he said he was tired of the mavs little guards penetrating the lane all night well isnt it his job to keep them out of their? so hes getting annoyed at other people for not doing his job?

the next time he trys it who is going to say enough. I seriously doubt that if he trys that garbage against the celtics shaqs not going to go off and I dont mean getting in his face and yelling about it. who else can you see fists flying with. when this happens again.

why didnt brendan haywood have a major problem with this? I think on the mavs he is as close as you can come to a legit tough guy. he will fight his own teammates how about for his teammates?

He will keep doing it until Stern takes a massive amount of money from his bank account. Most NBA players are not fighters so I doubt any players will retaliate in that manner. Dwyane Wade just nearly ended Rondo’s season with a semi-dirty play(Not even close to Bynum’s play of course) and no-one on the Celtics did anything about it. Even if a player thinks about retaliating , a coach or a teammate will prevent them from doing so, nowadays….

He really hurt his trade value.

The Lakers, to borrow a phrase from Bill Walton "are a disgrace to the game of basketball."

That was pathetic.  Bynum, Pau, and Odom all hurt their trade value.  Kobe is almost untradable.  Ron Artest is not even worth calling about regarding prospective trades.  I think the most tradable guy they have is Derek Fisher who would be a good back up point guard to Derrick Rose in Chicago (a winner, can handle the ball and hit outside jumpers).  If they could get Ronnie Brewer, the 30th,42nd pick for him that would be pretty good from LA’s perspective.  The Bulls could go small at times with Fisher and either Rose or Watson in the backcourt (similar to what the Mavs do with the Kidd/Terry/Barea).  If the Bulls trade Watson as part of the Dwight Howard deal (which they should do) then Fisher could be an adequate reserve for 10-12 minutes a night (the Bulls could substitute a future 2nd round pick, cash, and the 42nd pick for the 30th and 42nd pick in order to get Fisher).

Bynum will earn a reputation as a cheap-shot artist with bad knees.  Not a good combination.

Bynum, Pau, and Odom have the most trade value but I am not sure where they go.

I think Pau, Odom, and Kobe is a decent Big Three so they need to look at what they would need to put around those guys.  Bynum for AI, Jru Holiday, and the 16th pick would be good.

Kobe-Pau-Odom-Iggy-Holiday would be a good core.  With Ron Artest, Ronnie Brewer, the 30th pick and 42nd pick from Chicago (for Fisher), and the 16th pick from Philly along with the promising Devin Ebanks, the Lakers could be pretty good, if small.  Maybe they can sign DeAndre Jordan.  Jordan-Pau-Iggy would be a good front line.  Kobe and Jru in the back court with Odom, Artest, Brewer, Ebanks, and some rookies off the bench.   Could be worse…

What a joke. It definitely is his job to stop them from penetrating, not to mention the job of his team. His team was down by about 30 points in a potential series finishing game. If he wanted to send a message, he picked a very strange time to do so.

Also, the Lakers small guards did not penetrate. Shannon Brown rarely ever does, even though he has the athleticism to do so. Fisher and Blake however, not so much. Kobe can of course penetrate, but no player can do it all by themselves.

Bottom line, Bynum should feel like a total jerk for even trying to justify his actions without apologizing for them. I really hope he did, and that he knows that what he did sent no message other him being a sore loser and a quitter. Want to send a message? Play hard until the end! Try to block the shot! Do not elbow someone a foot shorter you in the ribs when you are going to lose the game, freaking doofus.
