12-32 tonight why is nobody talking about him taking so many shots? He shot 11 of his teams 14 shots in the 4th this is a major problem that everybody seems to think is okay with him but not Westbrook.

in case you forgot… He is THE MAN on that Bulls team… Westbrook most often forgets that he has a teammate named Kevin Durant being the star on that team… Period… Look at Korver, Deng and Bogans… They couldn’t even make a shot to save their lives… Its natural for Rose to try and take over in the fourth…

Who would’ve guessed this would come up? I’ll tell the difference right now. Most of Roses’ misses were close shots, and there were about 4 in the 2nd half alone that he normally makes. He took about 5 too many shots, but seriously watch the game before looking at the stat sheet.

You have to make this post after every Bulls game don’t you? Well yes, Rose took too many shots tonight. He didn’t trust his teammates down the stretch. He tries too hard sometimes to will his team to a win, though it mostly works in his favor. He played 44 minutes tonight, made some amazing shots and came out in the 4th on fire to put his team up. Then he wore down and missed a bunch of lay ups.

There….are you happy now? Can you sleep better tonight? Do you feel vindicated?

Actually Westbrook has this guy umm damn his number is what 35 I think he’s an ok player who can share the load

Rose is the MVP and as long as he’s attacking the basket I’m ok with his shots Westbrook takes dump jumpers and he isnt a jump shooter

I watched the game and he needs to penetrate then kickout sometimes. I think he did what he had to do like Westbrook does. Anybody who plays ball can look at their teammates and see if they really want it and if they dont then you take over and thats what separates greatness because you are willing to put the team on your back no matter who is on your team. If Rose played with Durant he would do the same thing because some people want to be great and want to step on their opponents necks. Remember a young guy named Kobe wasn’t the best on his team at one point and shot 2 airballs against the Jazz and people questioned why he took those shots the same as people question Westbrook the guy wants it.

As stated above Westbrook has one of the top three pure scorers in the game on his team.  Rose has Deng and Boozer. Rose is supposed to be the guy to take the game into his hands on his own.  Westbrook should only be doing that if Durant gives it back to him.  Not dribble down the court and take a shot with zero passes which happened multiple time in the 4th vs Memphis.

He actually shoots the same as Rose. Rose just shoots more they both shot 44% fg and 33% three pointers. Kobe had Shaq some guys know how good the are before people realize it

If you really don’t understand the difference between the two, that’s fine. But just because Rose forced it a little at the end compared to Westbrook doing it all throughout the playoffs (w/ Durant) doesn’t mean we need this topic after every game.

It doesnt matter who you play with the guy has talent he could lead the league in scoring if he wasnt playing with Durant.

So does Monta Ellis, but that doesn’t make him as good as Rose, or even a pg for that matter.

Why hasn’t Boozer looked as good with Rose as he did with D. Will? Not getting shots because Rose is taking so many from the pg spot. Rose was 2nd in the league in shots per game behind known ballhog Monte Ellis with 19.7 compared to Monte’s 20.1. Rose always get a free pass but if CP3 played for the bulls Noah would be a factor on offense with Boozer being a major threat as well the Bulls offense is horrible because Rose isn’t a good passer

Maybe because Chris Paul is the best pg in basketball, and one of the pure pg’s the NBA has ever seen. Boozer has sucked because he slumps when he gets off to a bad start, plus he is hurt…tell me who should get these shots for the Bulls? 32 is too much, yes, but they need him to shoot mid 20’s to win unless the supporting cast has a great day.

This topic keeps coming up…but any real basketball mind knows the difference…Rose has to take those shots for them to be competitive. He will defer more and more as they get more talent. Westbrook has durant so he should never take 30 shots unless he makes 20 of them. You can see their instincts and tendencies when they play and rose naturally is a facilitator but he also is smart. They can’t win it with this current team no way but he is trying his best…westbrook is not comparible to rose as a pg…he needs to be a 2 guard in the mold of dwade

can you remember Game 3? Rose could have gone for 50… Instead once they got a comfortable lead, he decided to share the ball to his teammates because he felt that they were hitting their stride… I remember when he got that offensive rebound he could have tip it back and he could have scored 46… instead he kicked it out with still 3 minutes remaining… That’s a veteran mindset…He doesn’t give a crap about stats… He just wants to win… The only way he knows how right now is to take 20 or more shots…

for any point gaurd 32 shots is a lot. but there is noone on the team that can make it happen by himself. deng and boozer have to be that guy and pick it up on offens. it was a step in the right direction for booz today but he needs to score in the 16-23 range with deng being efficent for bulls to win. rose had ten dimes today so it wasnt like he was taking every shot, the ball is in his hands to create EVERY single play. every pg needs a 2 or a 3 that they can just give it to and let them drive to the hoop. i have no problem what so ever having THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER in the league takin the shots he deserved em’. unline westbrook where there is a better option on the team. KD is the scoring champ. the deserves to be getting the majority of the shots and have the ball at the end. he and rose are superstars. westbrook is a rising star so especially at the end of games the shots should be with the superstars.

    Bottomline

    KD>Westbrook

Thats why we have a problem with him taking 32 shots.

Rose>The rest of his team put together.

Deng and Boozer have had chances to step up and have failed to. Rose knows now he has to do it all himself.

No one else can step up offensively to take the load off from Rose, he needs someone who can score and make his own shot sometimes, ala Jamal Crawford

As soon as I saw your name I knew you would complain about Rose taking a bunch of shots, but Westbrook getting killed by the media and diehards.

The difference is Westbrook has Kevin Durant, a guy who can score 30 points on like 15 shots, and Rose does not. Westbrook is taking these ridiculous shots and making these bad decisions despite playing with the best pure scorer in basketball on his team. Rose has to score a bunch for the Bulls to win. Westbrook doesn’t, but he’s forcing the issue as if he does.
