PrecociousNeophyteParticipantbasketball.realgm.com/wiretap/213564/Report_Sixers_Will_Look_To_Trade_Iguodala
where do you think his likely destinations are?

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantI’ve heard two interesting speculations about this:
Iggy for Rudy Gay. This deal can be done straight-up, because they both are paid almost exactly the same. Iggy brings even more veteran leadership to the Grizz, while Gay gives the Sixers a great young core with Gay, Turner, Holiday, and Thad.
Iggy for Chris Kaman. This is interesting as well, because they’re being paid roughly equally, and Kaman’s contract expires after this year. Kaman gives the Sixers a much better post presence, and gives them room to play Turner and Young a lot more. Iggy gives the Clips an all-around weapon at the SF, arguably their weakest position.

PrecociousNeophyteParticipantI personally like him going to the Clippers. I think he would be a perfect fit for them, and like you said SF is their weakest position. On the other hand I think Kaman (if he can stay healthy) will be an upgrade over Hawes because I just do not seeing him being that good. The Clippers should be looking to trade Kaman because they already have their future center in DeAndre.

TyroberParticipantShould the Clippers trade Kaman and the Minnesotas pick for Iggy? Is that too much? That pick is valuable

OhCanada-ParticipantIggy for Kaman is going nowhere and we all know it. That trade would have happened a loooong time ago. Right now as I said in another thread Denver has the best expendable assets. Nene is going to be a hot target for many teams. How about Oden for Iggy? They need a Center anything less then that is not even worth talking about.
I like the Gay idea but once again why would Memphis do this, Gay is the perfect comliment to Gasol and Randolph. I think the perimeter offense is more valueable to Memphis then a jack of all trades master of none guy, especially since he lacks a perimeter game and so do most of Memphis other wings (once Mayo leaves).

sideburn2goParticipantFirst off I don’t actually see the sixers trading Iggy any time soon just because I think he is too valuable of a player…. However if they are serious about shopping him a team I really think should get involved is Minnesota.
I think a trade between these two teams could work really well if Minnesota were to put together a package of players and their 1st pick this year for Iguodala.
Minnesota is in dire need of a few things, one is a consistent starting wing and the other is a veteran presence in the locker room. Iguodala would provide both of these things. In addition he is a player who loves to defer to teammates and really looks to get other people involved in the offense. He could be a great player along side Beasley and Love and would give the wolves three consistent scoring options every night. Additionally I don’t think any of the players at the top of this draft fit Minnesota’s true needs, especially since Kahn believes Rubio is the answer at the point.
The sixers would be able to use Minnesota’s pick to address a couple of needs. I honestly think that Derrick Williams would be a great fit for the sixers. Elton Brand is aging and they will soon need to replace him. Also Williams could step in and play the 3 as well. If Williams was unavailable I believe that Kanter would be another good pick for the sixers. Kanter would provide solid post scoring and has the potential to devlop in time into a tremendous player.
It is kind of difficult to make the money work for this trade but not impossible. The wolves have a lot of young talent that the sixers may be interested in and I really think a trade between these two could benefit both teams in the long run.

What The DevilParticipantWhat about the Kings? They need a good SF and he would definitely help their defense. They have the cap space to give the Sixers a good cap relief deal.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantI like the idea of Iggy for Mayo or Gay, I like the idea of getting Kaman and the Minnesota Draft pick, I would love to see them get A deal done with the T Wolves, they would have to give up Beasley IMO because a guy like Williams or Kanter wouldn’t be enough to part with Iguadola…A deal with Indiana would have to include Paul George, Roy Hibbert and their 2011 1st rounder, the Sixers would likely Sign and trade Hawes to the Pacers to even things out…I keep my out eye out west, The Lakers could trade Gasol or Bynum for Iguadola, Kobe could use a Pippen like player to finish out his career with…If the Sixers landed Pau I believe Marc could follow…

Tha_PrinceParticipantI like the idea of Iggy to the Clips, a combo of him, Blake Show, Gordon and an ever improving DeAndre Jordan would be a nice core group. SF is there biggest weakness, Aminu is nice but he still needs a few more years.
As a Raptors fan I wouldn’t mind seeing him being traded for Bargnani. They need scoring in Philly and he provides a 3 point threat, something they’ve lacked of in past years. Iggy would be the SF we always needed and him and DeRozan would be quite the pair moving forward.

JimmeredYaWabafetParticipanteh i dont know about it i like Casspi alot,AI isnt a good shooter and would be a bad complement to Tyreke on the offensive side of the ball but on the other side another story,if this http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3pexaw6 would go down i would want only 2 players in the draft,Enes Kanter and maybe Derrick Williams maybe. Thornton Andre Tyreke Kanter Cousins would be awesome to watch next year.

Forte IVParticipantThe Minny pick is WAY to valuable to give up it AND Kaman for Iguodala who imo underachieved this season.

Afactor4ParticipantWas just coming in here to say Iggy coming to the Clippers in a trade for Kaman would make sense for both teams. The Sixers add a good post presence with a deadly mid range shot, but not so good defense. Clippers add an all around SF that can bring the ball up for the floor so Mo doesn’t have to, but a not so great shot.
Good balance in the trade, in terms of value, especially with Kaman’s contract ending next season. The Clippers could also throw in some other minor pieces to entice Philly to get rid of their star.

AaronMck91ParticipantIguodala to memphis for gay sounds like a great deal. The sixers would get a good scorer who can shoot better than iggy. Memphis would get an all around sf who plays tough defense and plays with alot of heart. Iggy fits well with memphis ‘ style of play and lionel hollins would love him for his defense.
