aamir543ParticipantI can not believe what has happened to this guy. He averaged 30 at age 30, seemed headed for a glorious tailend of a career, had a couple more great seasons, then fell apart, displayed his selfishness, and is now decomposing in Turkey. I hope he gets his act together, and gets an 8 and 3 as a role player for a contender. Still, he had a hall of Fame career.

Scottoant93Participanttheres no doubt A.I was on the the most exciting nba players to watch, but his game always will have question marks of what could have been if he wasn’t self centered, practiced(yes I repeat Practice x20)(I know someone is going to put that video on here), and not clash with coaches. Either way it is sad to see him go out this way, and I also hope he can get an nba team for one season, have a good season, and retire the right way.

Sure he’s lost a step and his skills have dwindled, but teams would be a lot more willing to give him a chance if he didn’t come with the risk that is his attitude. . .

When your 5-11, taking poundings like he did for 10 plus seasons, it just comes a time where your body can’t take it anymore. When I was younger, I was the kid with the Iverson jersey. In fact, who didn’t have the Philly 3 on your chest as a youngin? He was one of the players who made me watch basketball. I remember random games of Iverson and he will always be a fan favorite and a personal favorite to me.
With that being said, he made it tough on himself to build around. One must wonder had he gave into the "play point guard" and even if he was the scoring guard, he would have had less wear and tear, and probably playing today. Instead, he insisted on playing off the ball, thus shooting more and dealing with the Kobe Bryant and Ray Allens of the world, as well as other goon shooting guards who just leaned on him.
Do I think Iverson is a hall of famer? Yes. Do I think he made it eaiser to build around him for a title or two? No.
