2. That the ceremonies for National Holocaust Day would be televised anywhere

3. That there even is a National Holocaust Day, let alone such a day in Israel

Veitnam memorial honors young men who died in a war we entered.  The Holocaust was a senseless slaughter and it seems odd to me that Israel would have a holiday for these victims.

you find it odd that we dont want to forget our past?  if you forget the past your doomed to repeat it.

I just think that a holiday is the wrong way to honor them.

 man- ok next question   how do you think you can understand other peoples cultures without being in them or studying them?  it makes perfect sense to jews and thats why this holiday is celebrated everywhere including america.
