Favors, Okur, draft picks for Iggy and Brackins
Harris-Igoudala-Miles Milsap-Jeferson (2 Lottery Picks – Vesely and Jones?). I think Utah would be in a better position to win as long as they keep the 2 Lottery Picks this year.
Holiday, Meeks, Turner, Young, Favors, and Speights are all under 23. Add in a 24 year old Lou Williams and thats a good young nucleus. The 16th pick could be used on either a small forward or a big depending on who is available. Leonard, Honeycutt, Biyombo, or Jordan Williams could develop for the 76ers.

thunderbear82ParticipantHow about switching Favors for millsap. The only way I would want to see favors go is if it involves Dwight Howard or Lebron James.

apb540ParticipantAre you serious with that statement? As far as the trade idea, it is a decent idea for the Sixers but I don’t know if the Jazz would be down. There are a million Jazz fans on here so I will just check back in an hour or two and see what ya’ll have to say.

PeanutParticipantI think that the jazz would do it if they traded millsap instead. (great player) because Favors has so much potential and he can be a franchise player for the jazz in the future.

I May Be WrongParticipantand truthfully I like this trade a lot as well. We save a ton of money for next season and we get a solid young big man who can get a lot of good playing time. If the Jazz wanted, they can have Spieghts as well because I see the Sixers drafting a Morris twin this upcoming draft.
Trading Iggy is going to put pressure on Evan Turner to be the man (which I think he will be) if this trade went down like this. But at least it gives the Sixers some cap space when Okur comes off the books the following season. We can sign a legit 2 guard and move Jodie to the bench. Jrue, Jodie, Turner, Brand, Favors with a DEEP bench of Lou, Thad, Okur, Morris and maybe some other solid pieces.
Im not sure how the Jazz feel about this but Iggy might flourish in a change of scenary. I don’t think Harris is the right PG for this team but I do like having Miles and Iggy at wings with Jefferson and Millsap scoring downlow.

scliddiardParticipantOnly a philly fan would love that trade, if it was Iggy for Milsap, I think it might get looked at, but Iggy’s contract is pretty hefty and may squash it. Iggy for Favors, won’t happen, bigs with Favors potential & physical attributes don’t come around ever year.

BKKnicksfanParticipantMaybe, just maybe….Utah wants to keep Derrick Favors?

Scottoant93Participantwhats up with the Favors Trades. He was in trade discussion since the first moment he wore a nets uniform, then admitted it got to him, and now before his second season begins, We’re talking about him again. I say leave him be, he has great potential but He needs to be in a stable situation or he’ll give up and not reach any of it.

scliddiardParticipantThe Favors trade talks are started by those who would love to have him, not by any Jazz fan wanting to get rid of him. We think he can be very good.

the27guyParticipantNo. We will not trade Favors for Iguodala. Sorry. We will give you Millsap and CJ Miles for him though, or Al Jefferson if you throw in a 1st rounder. Think it over and get back to us asap.

thunderbear82ParticipantWow!! I can’t believe how butthurt some people on this board are. I wasn’t saying he is equal value to lebron or d12. I was just saying you don’t trade away a 19 year old with huge potential for an above average player who isn’t even a all-star.

lukestine13Participantlet it be known the jazz will keep favors. we didn’t trade DWILL to acquire Devin Harris sorry to burst you guys bubbles we did it for favors plain and simple. you want proof just look at one of the jazz’s last games of the season against LA. For the first time in i don’t know how long we had a guy that wasn’t afraid of the Lakers size advantage. Also he is only 19. give him two years and he will be a beast.

thunderbear82ParticipantWell realizing what kind of c*nts are on this board i’m no longer posting here.

apb540ParticipantDon’t take it that personally thunderbear. Just think about something before you write it so you don’t say stupid things.

SwatLakeCityParticipantI don’t know what it is with all these Jazz big man trades all of a sudden. Do you realize how hard it is for any team to trade their bigman. Most teams if not all teams don’t want to do it. Why, because big man are so important in this league. Especially ones that have such high potential like Favors.
Honestly, the only big men that the Jazz are going to trade this offseason is Paul Millsap or Al Jefferson. But I seriously doubt any big man gets traded this offseason from the Jazz. They might try and look into it but I don’t think anything will come out of it. So stop with all the these trades involving Favors. It won’t happen. The only way the Jazz would trade Favors is if they were tricked into doing it because they were poisoned. In other words, it ain’t happening. NEVER.
If you guys are so desperate for the Jazz to trade one of their big man then look into trading Millsap or Jefferson. Then maybe, just maybe, the Jazz will take a look at it.

Scottoant93ParticipantSome advice, Dont take some things personally, people disagree with one another all the time, no reason to stop posting. You may get negs on this post but maybe your next you get tons of postives. If you keep trying it usually balances out

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWe can throw in Nocioni or Brackins to sweeten the deal, I can see Favors fitting in better in Philly and Vice Versa, The Jazz need a leader and Turner could be that guy next to Jefferson, Millsap, Harris, Hayward and 2 lottery picks…Favors is a Center in my eyes, maybe he Brand/Speights and Morris Twin X could be a great group of big men, I loved to replace Turner in free agency with a guy like Nick Young, Jr Smith or Aaron Affalo…
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/30/2011 - 6:31pm #527144

BKKnicksfanParticipantIf you called Utah and offered Turner a 2012 1st for Favors and the 6th, I think they do it.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/30/2011 - 6:40pm #527148

apb540ParticipantStop with the trading Turner ideas. Favors and Turner will not be traded for each other or for any other players. Both franchises are smart enough to see how dam good they are and recognize that they are building bocks. Iggy for Jefferson is really the only trade the Sixers would make with the Jazz, and even that prolly won’t go down.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 12:02am #527176

CodySLCParticipantWhy would the Jazz trade the youngest player in the league right now, and the main piece in the trade for our franchise player? They wouldn’t. Of course he’d be a good fit on philly. When your 6"10 with that kind of athletism you’d fit in anywhere. Bottom line is he and Jefferson are our future pf c. With Millsap as an affordable 6th man. Tho he and Harris are both expendable, especially if when can draft a pg like Knight.

iguapops420ParticipantIggy for anyone not named Jefferson, Miles or Favors is a wash. No way would they take Millsap for Iggy. The Jazz would be ecsatic to get Iggy for just Paul, but no way would the Sixers go straight up for that deal. I’d guess MIllsap, the latter lotto pick and one of Miles or Hayward would be what it would take. Iggy is still looked at as an ALL-Star type player by a lot of teams. And only the Jazz think Millsap is some kind of savior. I’d look for Philly to keep Iggy another year, especially if they get the chance to amnesty Brand as there have been talks of teams getting another Brian Grant rule with the new CBA.
