LOFTYParticipant"With the recent firing of head coach Keith Smart, the Golden State Warriors have a hole to fill and it appears Jerry Sloan is very high on their list.
“I’m hearing the Warriors are interested in prying Jerry Sloan out of retirement,” reported Marcus Thompson III of the Contra Costa Times on Twitter.
Sloan, 69, resigned as head coach of the Utah Jazz in February, and has denied reports indicating he would be interested in …"

Scottoant93ParticipantSloan definally would be a major upgrade from all the other coaches they had. Do you think he would come out of retirement to coach the warriors though?

aamir543Participant(Possible conversation between Sloan and Ellis during a late game situation)
Sloan: Monta, jab step pass it of to Udoh, curl around lee change directions and flash to the top of the key, wait for curry to set you a pick, then go set a pick for Dorrel and be ready for the ball and-
Ellis: Shoot.
Sloan: NO Pass it to Curry
Ellis: But I got this.
Sloan: No, they are contesting your shots, and sagging off Curry beyond the arc.
Ellis: But I’ve already made 5 threes today!!!
Sloan: But they are not going to let you get a good shot off, and curry is going to get a wide open shot.
Ellis: Ughh!! No wonder Dwill fired you!
(On the insuing possension, ellis jogs through his picks and cuts half-heartadly, and when he gets the ball in the corner, with Odom and Artest in his face, he heaves up an air ball, and the warriors lose, all while curry is standing on the wing, with nobody within 10 feet of him clapping his hands)
The next Ellis has a conversation with the owners he will deny for the rest of his life, telling the owners that its either him or the old guy. panicking, the Warriors trade Ellis for pennies on the dollar (like Stephen Jackson), and end up in the lottery.
As a Warriors fan, I want to avoid this. Although I agree Sloan is an amaxing coach, he is not a right fit, and he will not coach anywhere besides Utah.

Too coolParticipantAgreed, i cannot see Sloan coaching the warriors. I think Jeff Van Gundy or Mike Brown would be a better fit. They need to play some defense in the Bay Area with all that offensive firepower.
