We all know that Charles has the biggest mouth in basketball. he always bashes players, coach, refs, etc. How would Charles do as an Nba coach. Would he get to his players and led them to wins, or would he annoy the shiittt out of them and fired quickly.

I think he’d be a horrible coach. He should stick to broadcasting.

I love Charles but he would be a horrible coach lol. The thing about Charles is he speaks mind and a lot of the time he is right but i don’t imagine him being able to coach 15 different personalities 82+ games a years. He’ s got to strong of a personality for that

A lot of the time he’s right but mostly on the obvious things.  He looked clueless thinking the Grizz had the game locked up up 4 by the end of the 4th qtr.  He’d be an awful coach not flexible at all and he’d lose it with the refs.

He would be awful.  He would be too lazy to prepare for any games or practices.

Having said that he is one of my all time fave players.  How a 6’5” guy can bully himself in the paint among seven footers, I’ll never know.  He just may be the most naturally talented player of all time.  The reason I say that is because he was known to never work on his game.  Danny Ainge who played with both Bird and Chuck said Bird always worked on his game hours after practice ended and Charles would never ever practice….And he still dominated!!

Love him as a player and now commentator, but agree with most that he would not cut it as a coach.

Steven A. Smith gets my vote for biggest mouth in b-ball however.

The fact that Charles was so undersized and never really practiced makes him even more remarkable. Ben Wallace turned himself into a force through sheer hard work and hours in the gym, Charles just did it through natural ability!

As a Head Coach, I could see him doing well if the team was successful eg they win, the players respect him but if things started going wrong I could see him start bashing the players verbally and denting a few egos etc. He’d be a good Assistant Coach in my mind who could almost do the Sgt Major role but maybe not the Officer type you want as a Head Coach. He’d be fun to watch on the side lines and would be a nightmare in the officials’ ears.

In a Front Office role I could see him being fairly successful and having the mindset to make bold trades but I could see him being fed up if the role was too office based as no doubt he enjoys his commentary role.

idk about him being a coach…he has some bball intelligence but he seems like he would get on the wrong side of too many of his players…plus he would get fined almost after every game because he can never hold back the dumb things that come out his mouth.
