With melo and amare now on the Knicks, Landry’s stats have dropped quite significantly. So, I think the knicks might be willing to trade him if they can get a good piece to compliment their two superstars who would fit their system better. Also, I think Landry would do wonders on the raptors. He is a very young guy who provides rebounding, scoring, and toughness. The Raptors have a huge gap at the small forward and if they brought in Landry it would be filled. Then, if they can somehow obtain Irving in the draft, and get either Javale Mcgee or Deandre Jordan in the offseason we will be golden in no time. Irving, Demar, Fields, Davis, Mcgee Now that is a great, young starting lineup.

Fields hit the rookie wall and I dont think that had much to do with Melo being there because early on, he still was playing pretty solid because Melo opens things up. A offseason of conditioning and just work on a few things should get him back on point.

Also Toronto like James Johnson.  He has the size to defend some of the bigger small forwards and he has more to his game offensively than alllowed to show in Chi town.

Barbosa would be great for the knicks since they don’t have any good  2 players…  Also bayless could be a good backup for Billups to come off the bench and add some scoring

Fields, Balkman and Walker for James Johnson and Klieza

Johnson could replace Chandler for New York he can play both 3 and 4 which is what D’Antoni had Shawne Williams do the problem is Williams couldnt defends 4’s well enough

The problem is that with Amare and Melo needing the ball and you want Billups or some other point guard to have the ball as well, then what is left of the shooting guard? So you are trying to find a shooting guard who can produce without having the ball. Maybe a pure shooter spotting up in the corner? Douglas might already be that guy.

The Raptors don’t have anything that would interest the Knicks for Landry Fields aside for your lottery pick this year. Since the pick is worth much more than Fields and since the Knicks lack the supplementary pieces to balance the deal (outside of Billups, Amar’e and Melo), I doubt anything happens. I would like a shot to draft Kyrie Irving though.

Knicks would want Amir Johnson and DeRozan but i doubt Raptors are trading them for Fields.

Of course the Knicks would have interest in Johnson and Derozan from a talent standpoint. Truth be told, a majority of the Raptors roster would appeal would appeal to our front office. The thing with their players is that they are grossly overpaid or too expensive to the Knicks, who are penny pinching until the 2012 offseason. Amir Johnson alone will make $6 million next season, which would roughly be a tenth of the cap. Considering our financial obligations to Melo and Amare, a bench player like Johnson that would be an 8th man on a contender is too expensive.
