OhCanada-ParticipantThe Lakers are 15-0 when Kobe shoots 15 or less shots, and are 9-9 when he shoots 25 or more shots.
Starting to age?

B FreeParticipantNice find. Im just not too sure what it means out of context. Where they up by alot early in those games so he played less, are those the games he had some of his double digit assists?

eric palmerParticipantDon’t you think that could be because if the Lakers start out strong, are playing an inferior team, or if Kobe has to lock up the opponents best player that he won’t exert as much offense because he is either saving his legs (when they play an inferior opponent, or if they’re up big) or concentrating more on D (when he guards the CP3’s of the world).
Also, when the Lakers are down in the 4th, Kobe really starts to throw up a bunch of shots because he is one of only a few players in the league who can single-handedly bring a team back if he catches fire. He won’t always catch fire though, or the other team will just be too far out of reach.
Either way, it is a pretty interesting stat.

paint intruderParticipantA lot of those low output games probably are blowout wins, in which Kobe doesn’t have to shoot so much.

KingGeorgeParticipantInteresting stat, but it is completely coincidental.

SteroidParticipantWhat does that have to do with age? It could be a culmination of different things. I mean it’s obvious if Kobe has to take less than 15 shots, they’re dominating and everyone is stepping up. Taking less that 15 shots just means everyone else is doing their job.
