Sure. But to make this topic relevant, who do you guys see making more of an immediate impact next year? Obviously it depends on where they go but I personally think it will be Markeiff, he plays in the post more and there is always need for athletic bigmen who hustle and rebound. He could have a Hansbough type impact, thats also my comparison for him.

With everyone dropping out are these guys really going to be lottery picks? I see two career bench players. Nothing wrong with that as they can say A) I made it and B) I’m collecting an NBA paycheck. It definitely won’t be as bad as the Collins twins, but I shake my head at how bad this draft is going to be. If I’m Kanter what’s the point of working out? I’m a top 4 pick just for showing up in this draft.

I think Markieff will be a better pro cuz he is bigger and longer. Marcus is definitely more skilled but he has short arms. He is going to be a Rodney Rogers, Ryan Gomes type player where I see Markieff like Brandon Bass

If he works on his handle he can be stretch 4 kinda guy I think he’d thrive in an uptempo offense while Markieff just doesnt tickle my fancy

Ive learned to never discount the lesser known brother.  Look at the Lopez twins.  Sure, Lopez has better stats, but I think Robin is more important to his team.  I would say Markieff has a better chance at being a solid bench big, while Marcus might disappear in a depth chart if not given his time to play

I’d like someone to compare the college careers and there abilities that will transfer to the pros with the other horrible draft(2000) and see if they favor. maybe ill just do it

How is Robin even close to being more important than Brook?  Since Phoenix traded for Gortat, Robin has been useless, he doesn’t even start anymore.  Brook, meanwhile, was the Nets’ number one option before the Williams trade, well you can even make the case that he still is their number one option or at least 1A.  Robin means nothing to the Suns.

One thing both guys will be able to really do well is operate in the pick and roll and pick and pop game.  They are both very versitile on offense and I really like Rudeboy’s comparison of Markeiff to Taj Gibson.  Taj is a much better shot blocker and lankier, but they bring the same things to the table, a smooth jumpshot off the pick and pop, rebounding and defense.

Marcus is a bit of a tweener, but his faceup game is very good and although he does need a little work on his ball handling and NBA 3 point range, with the rate he improved from his freshman to junior years in college I feel he is the type of player that will continue to work on his game, rather than the type who is mearly content being in the NBA.

I project both twins to be top 7 rotation players( although maybe not as rookies) for their careers and either one of the first two players off the bench, and fill in starters.  However, I do think Marcus if he addresses his weaknesses will be a player good enough to be a regular starter and around a 14-15 pt 5-6 rb player at the next level.

Maybe Marcus submitted himself to human cloning and they don’t have an exact date when Markieff was created…. I don’t see either of these guys being very successful in the L.  Maybe they can find a niche as role players off the bench, but that’s about it.
