marcusfizer21ParticipantTo the Indiana Pacers front office… especially Larry Bird:::::: Kindly remove that INTERIM title and just give him the head coaching job? Vogel has been amazing and has helped the Pacers get back to that level of respectability in the league… I do think he deserves to be the head coach…

TeamShowtimeLakersParticipantFrank Vogel does deserve to be a head coach in this league….he a young coach who has received the attention of his players and is getting their best basketball when it matters the most….almost when you look at Frank Vogel, he has that look in his eyes where he seems like he wants every win possible…you want that fromyour coach.

iminipandaParticipantHis evolution from early season to now is tremendous. Vogel was a good part in that by just giving him adequate minutes.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantDidn’t Vogul start his season about 10-2 once he was selected as the interim HC?

omphalosParticipantI think the best thing Vogel did was blood the younger players throughout the season. Nothing frustrates me more than seeing talented young players waste away on the bench because a coach is too set on playing the vets, even if they are underperforming.
I wouldn’t mind seeing him continue as coach, thankfully he’s young, so if successful Vogel can stick around for a long time and get some real continuity going with this young team.

omphalosParticipant@TOL-23; Yes, but that needs to be taken with a grain of salt, it takes other teams a little while longer to scout the change in playstyle associated with new coaching changes. Other teams don’t know what to expect, and other the players are usually given freedom to play looser, which can give good results in for short amounts of time.
At least, that’s how I always accounted for that "new coach = winning" situation. I think their overall record with Vogel was 20-18.
