The8thDeadlySinParticipantLets just say something happened to every starter, for the Celtics, EXCEPT RONDO, and they had to sit out a year.. They got caugh doing steroids or something.. What ever tickles your fancy. Those 4 players woud be Allen, Pierce, Garnette, S. O’neal.
Regardless, does this Celtic team, as currently constructed, make the playoffs?
Rondo
Wafer/West
Green
Davis
Krstic/J. O’neal
Arroyo
Murphy
Bradly
Pavlovic
Does that group make the playoffs??

I May Be WrongParticipantthe front court would get eaten alive night in and night out. Green is a solid defender but Big Baby and Nenad would be going against Bosh, Boozer, Dwight, Noah, Horford, Hibbert, and even Brook Lopez could score easily against that team. And thats only the eastern conference!
I’d say that team gets like 30 wins max and are a 12th seed

xavier328ParticipantNo! Who’s going to be their go to guy?

KayjayParticipantThe same key that they are depended on now, would be the key to what I see here. It really depends on Green. I like his game, don’t know what it is about him, but players like him show that they have what it takes to be star. I’m going to say I’d think they’d be an 8th seed. East is tough, granted. But often the 8th seed is up for grabs a lot until one team eventually pulls away. This year it was the Pacers.

sheltwon3ParticipantIn the East, that team should make the playoffs. I think right now 45 wins in the new and improved East would do it and a healthy Rondo along with Green, Big Baby and co can do that. They would probably do like the Spurs and play a faster pace then what they are used to.
They have a guy in Rondo that can guard most point guard one on one. Also when healthy Rondo without the big 3 can go to the hoop more and draw fouls. Baby, Green, and Nenad can all hit perimeter shots so that could open up lanes with your bigs be able to hit perimeter shots.

afree15ParticipantMurphy is really underrated when with the pacers a few years ago he was putting up double doubles every game
I think they could be a playoff team in the east

TeamShowtimeLakersParticipantanyone can make the playoffs in the east but not this team because they wont have no go-to player…jeff green has a chance but still your team wont be all that good if he is your #1 option.
