White ChocolateParticipant
2.
Cleveland | Derrick Williams | 6-9 | 241 | SF/PF | Arizona | 19The way I see it is, the Cavs get whoever falls to them between Irving and Williams whenever Minnesota picks.
3.
Toronto | Enes Kanter | 6-11 | 261 | PF/C | Kentucky | 18They need a center and Kanter is arguably the best center in this draft, Raptors make a good pick here.
4.
Washington | Perry Jones | 6-11 | 235 | SF/PF | Baylor | 19High risk high rward pick here by the Wizards, they need a small forward and a power forward so they pick Jones and whichever position he is better at is the need they fill.
5.
Sacramento | Jan Vesely | 6-11 | 230 | SF/PF | Czech Republic | 20A projected top five pick here in Vesely goes to the Kings mostly because they need a small forward and a power forward, he can play both.
6.
Utah | Alec Burks | 6-6 | 191 | PG/SG | Colorado | 19Their biggest need is at shooting guard, so the Jazz pick arguably the best shooting guard in the draft. Would be a great pick and he would fit right in their system.
7.
Detroit | Brandon Knight | 6-3 | 185 | PG/SG | Kentucky | 19Detroit would have their choice between Knight and Walker here, but ultimately Knight would fit better in their system.
8.
Cleveland | Kemba Walker | 6-0 | 172 | PG | UConn | 20After missing out on Irving, but getting Williams the Cavs make up for it here by picking Walker as their point guard.
9.
Milwaukee | Terrence Jones | 6-8 | 244 | SF | Kentucky | 19The Bucks need a small forward and Jones is the best small forward available here so they pick him, good value here.
10.
Charlotte | Donatas Motiejunas | 7-0 | 224 | PF | Lithuania | 20A scoring power forward is the Bobcats biggest need right now and Motiejunas fits that need perfectly, great value here.
11.
Golden St. | Jonas Valanciunas | 6-11 | 240 | C | Lithuania | 18The Warriors need a center badly and they would be very happy if Valanciunas fell to them here, great fit for them.
12.
Utah | Bismack Biyombo | 6-9 | 243 | PF/C | Congo | 18Shocker pick here, with their shooting guard need adressed the Jazz take a chance at potential and pick Biyombo. A defensive front-court of Biyombo at PF and Favors at C would be great in the future.
13.
Phoenix | Markieff Morris | 6-10 | 245 | PF | Kansas |The Suns need a power forward to go next to Gortat and Markieff would be a great fit in Phoenix. Others available here, but ultimately they pick the best player.
14.
Houston | Marcus Morris | 6-9 | 218 | SF/PF | Kansas | 21No center available so the Rockets take a risk and go for a small forward in Marcus. Not the best pick for them, but it might be the safest. Please comment and/or criticize, thank you for taking the time to read my lottery mock draft.

ilike.panochasParticipantIt will be interesting who will be drafted first, Vesely or Perry Jones. These two guys has most upside in the draft, both play that SF/PF hybrid role. To be honest I wouldn’t know who to go with if I had to choose between the two.

apb540ParticipantThat is one of the better mock drafts I have seen yet.

SwatLakeCityParticipant- I have a hard time believing that the Jazz will draft a big man with either of their two lottery picks when they already have plenty. (Jefferson, Millsap, Favors, Fez, Okur) They will probably resign Fez this offseason so that puts the total at 4 big man with 1 who was hurt a lot this season but might be back next season. Even if Okur doesn’t come back, the Jazz would still be fine and would not need another big man. They do however have a need at the 2 guard and also the 3 guard. AK is a free agent this year. With him always being injured and the salary cap expected to be lower, I don’t expect the Jazz to resign him to lesser contract because they just won’t have the money with Miles, Price, and Fez being free agents as well this offseason. If the Jazz do select Burks with the 6th pick then with the 12 pick look for the Jazz to go for Terrence Jones or Kawhi Leonard with the 12 if either are available. If neither are than they will probably go for a PG like Brandon Knight or Jimmer Fredette.
- Don’t quote me on this but I think the Bucks will select Montie. Him and Bogut would be a very good combo. The Bucks tried to something like this when they selected Yi. Unfortunately it did not work. But since this is the kind of situation Montie is playing in Lithuania with Jonas, the Bucks might try the same strategy again and pick Montie with the 9th pick and hopefully succeed in finding a potent combo down low.
- Yes the Warriors need a Center, but they need one now not in the future. Jonas will have buy out problems and will probably stay over seas for a year or two even if he gets drafted in the lottery. So the trick is to find a team that will need his help in future but for now they can deal with out him. I’m thinking the Pistons or the Cavs. Since they already Monroe and Varejao respectively. Neither aer great starters but neither are horrible either. Both teams can survive with what they have right now while they wait for Jonas’ contract to sort out.
- If there is one thing I know about MJ he will not select a soft 4. That description fits Montie to a T. So I am willing to bet that the Bobcats will not select if he is available with the 10th pick. They might instead go for Kemba or Knight if either are available if not then they might try and go for Terrence Jones. They just traded Wallace and didn’t get a SF in return. Diaw might be traded this offseason, and Jackson is only getting older, which means they will have a BIG hole at the 3.
- The Wolves are expecting Rubio to come over this offseason. Kahn really likes him and does not want to impede his development, so they will trade Flynn this offseason and if they get the first pick they might deal that one as well. They could go with Kanter but you and me both know that that is a horrible choice for the first pick. So they might select Irving and then deal him to the Kings for Perry Jones if he is available for the Kings.
- Perry is a project and might end up being a bust, I don’t think the Wizards are going to take a chance on possibly another bust like Kwame Brown again. I am not comparing Perry to Kwame but I am merely just saying that Kwame was a bust and Perry might be a bust as well. I would expect Vesely to go to the Wizards if he is available. He is definitely the safer of the two picks, and in my opinion he plays more the PF than the 3. He does not handle the ball too well and that is something that a 3 will need to be able to do very well or else he will be a liability on offense. The 4 looks like a real possible position for him, so he will need a great PG to help him reach his full potential. Wall is exactly that, so I would expect the Wizards to select Jan over Perry.

Colaa_2ParticipantNice job, I like most of the picks here.
Only problem I saw would be at #1, if and a big IF Rubio comes over, I don’t see the TWolves selecting Irving. But if he doesn’t I think they do go ahead and select him.
Nice job on everything else!
