Twolvesfan24ParticipantThis 18-year old from Congo was all over the floor last night, and I came away very impressed. He is still VERY raw offensively and he showed it by not knowing many post moves and by not hitting many of his free throws. His shot has decent form, but that’s not why teams are all of a sudden drooling over him, months before the draft. His 7’7” wingspan and his extremely quick jumping ability allowed him to fly around and block 10 shots. He eventually ended up with a triple-double. I would not be very surprised if he went in the lottery, or close to it, on draft night. This is a weaker draft in a sense, and every team could use a high-energy, high motor guy like this on their team, they just may need to wait a few years for him to develop a low-post game or outside shot. Here’s a link to the recap of the game last night, I got it from goduke.com.

OhCanada-ParticipantThis is like the 10th Biyambo thread in 2 days, maybe we are getting carried away and overhyping the next Joel anthony.

Twolvesfan24ParticipantWell considering he played against the best of the US’ high school players last night and held his own, I thought a new post was in order. He was very impressive, I’m not saying he will be the next Dejuan Blair but he is much more athletic than Joel Anthony and he survived the Congo, he wasn’t just some Canadian chef that can’t do anything but be tall and stand there.

butidonthavemoneyHe’s right. We should just cut the BS and rename the site Biyombodraft.net.

LakerQHow is a new post in order when there are a bunch already. People on here get too carried away every time someone plays well. It only takes one post and if anyone has new info or opinions all they have to do is put it in that post

Tha_PrinceParticipant@OhCanada-
Lol I wanted to say something along those lines as well.
He did have a good game and he is getting the exposure his play deserves. As for him going in the lottery? I think that’s a bit premature. A week ago there was talk of him even going in the second round. In reality my guess is that he slips into the 1st round but just barely.

kngojcParticipantI hope he goes to the Bulls with their second first round pick. Boozer could definitely teach him and mentor him and show him how to be a good low post player with similar size and build. A combination of him and Noah could be real good even though there wouldn’t be much frontcourt scoring from them..
I don’t know if its just me but does anyone else see a little JaVale McGee in him?

JimmeredYaWabafetParticipantmany teams in the lottery need a player like Biyombo and if he does fall the Knicks or 76ers will pick him without a doubt

Charlie SheenParticipantThe Knicks really need help upfront and his offense cant be worse then Jeffries who cant make a lay up at least Biyombo will throw it down and he’s only 18 so if he can add 2-3 more inches than he’d be a great option to put behind Amar’e but at 6’9 he’d still get torn up inside

Twolvesfan24ParticipantHow about the rest of the players in the game? Did you guys watch? Rivers had a good showing, so did Anthony Davis. What do you guys, and girls, think about Beal?

Twolvesfan24Participantaccording to Chad Ford on ESPN, Biyombo could easily go into the lottery. He says it near the bottom of his page.
