WizardofOzParticipantIt starts at 10:00 right? Does anybody have a link to the game, or does anybody know what channel it’s on on Verizon FIOS?

OhCanada-ParticipantLol now you get ti know how it feels. Sucks dont it….Seriously thou that sucks man.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 4:51pm #519653

WizardofOzParticipantI heard that a reporter on the sideline asked Austin Rivers if he’s excited to play with Kyrie Irving next season. lol, what a bonehead question!
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 4:55pm #519658
LakerQU.s up 37-27…tony Wroten looks like J.Kidd or nash out there with his great court vision
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 4:56pm #519659

OhCanada-ParticipantNogueira and Biyambo are beasting. blocked shots and rebounds all day especially Biyambo…He looks like an explosive, shot blocking, Reggie Evans.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 4:57pm #519661

OhCanada-ParticipantYah Wroten looks like John Wall at the same stage, so much explosiveness, speed, and vison but plays so out of control.

LakerQWroton is a little too flashy sometimes. nice full court pass to Davis for a dunk
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:02pm #519667
LakerQGood lord River just hit a Jimmer Ferdette type pull up three in the face of some big international player
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:02pm #519668

OhCanada-ParticipantWho else would be a better comparison, no offensive game outside under the basket, lives off of hustling, and is very strong and tough. Add in the fact that he is athletic and blocks shots and there you go.
The Ibaka comparison is way off, he is much larger in Ibaka in size, has nowhere near the offensive game, and is stronger.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:02pm #519669

Demarcus OnealParticipantThat was a bonehead defensive play at the end by the Americans, all of their players ran after getting a steal and gave up an open three at the buzzer. That stuff won`t fly with their college coaches.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:05pm #519670
LakerQWhat i say about Gilchrist..he’s a baller. scouts, regular people keep doubting him because he’s been on top for so long but he always produces.
I’m not sure which African is which half the time but i know they control the pain like mad men with either block or making guys think twice about shooting in the paint by adjusting there shot. This game is always wayyyy better than the McDonalds All American game because its more organized and there’s defense. you have to play a real game not street ball
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:06pm #519671

lalailaParticipantTony Wroten will be a star…
and Anthony Davis looks to block rebound and dunk everything he is sooo long..
and once again we see how underrated Gilchrist has become not only 10points but like 3blocks already for a sf
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:08pm #519673

HaleParticipantFinally people recognizing Wroten again. Everyone forgot about him when he got hurt.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:11pm #519675

lalailaParticipantyeahh..i still can’t believe he wasn’t in mcdonald’s game
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:13pm #519677

ProudGrandpaParticipantAnd a farce-monger
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:13pm #519679

HaleParticipantWroten and Nick Johnson both should’ve made it.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:19pm #519683
LakerQAustin Rivers is letting those who only just watched him in the Micky D pick up game that when he is playing in a real game he shows he deserves his ranking
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:28pm #519685
LakerQGood lord that African kid is dikembe out there
Then he just banged in Anthony Davis face off the vert!!!!!!!!!
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:28pm #519686

Demarcus OnealParticipantWow Wroten just has a plamaking ability that is on a different level
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:29pm #519688

OhCanada-ParticipantBiyambo is a monster, enough hate on this kid. He is so athletic at just 18 or 19. He ha sthe body of Brandon Bass out thier, with Hassan Whiteside’s length, and Tyrus Thomas athletisism. But wait theres more, he hustles like Regie Evans and plays to his strentghs, defense. No offensive game unless a teamate sets him up for a dunk or layup, although I weill say he has good footwork, and soft hands so the potentials there.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:30pm #519690

Demarcus OnealParticipantGod Anthony Davis has a nasty unibrow
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:31pm #519691
LakerQYeah it is. He looks just like he did when i saw him in Vegas before his injury. e actually looks faster if you can believe it.
I like how Davis goes after rebounds and blocks even though he’s not really that athletic as far as jumping. If h was a point guard before he grew he must have been the type that never dribbled because he has zero confidence as far as handling the ball
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:42pm #519695
LakerQWhew Kentucky is gonna be niiiiiiiiiiiiiicccccceeeeee
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:46pm #519700
LakerQGood lord I’m so tired of them talking about Davis being this 6’10 PG when he has shown Zero PG skills in any games. it makes for a good story though. He looks like he has good potential as PF though
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:50pm #519705
LakerQLOL Christmas looked like a rag dog tryna play post defense against Biyambo
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:58pm #519709

Demarcus OnealParticipantWho impressed you guys in this game and who disappointed you
IMO
Rivers, Gilchrist, Wroten really stepped on Team USA and on the World Team Bismark Biyango was a man among boys in this game, Fournier on France has a nice game and that Polish guy was a good player.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 5:58pm #519710

OhCanada-ParticipantBiyambo made Beal look like a fly the way he swatted him…Nearing in on a triple double 12-pts,10-rebs,9-blks.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 6:01pm #519713
JimmeredYaWabafetParticipantdamn his stock is gonna skyrocket
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 6:02pm #519714

WizardofOzParticipantLMAO at people saying Anthony Davis is really ugly!
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 6:03pm #519715
LakerQBiyambo is extremely aggressive as far as tryna bang the ball. I’d take him first round. Not lotto but if I’m a playoff team that has time to develop him I’d take him. He has a triple double (not counting the blk where he fouled the guy but the blk before that where the announcers were talking and seemed to miss)
Austin Rivers shows why he’s a beast in a real game
Gilchirst is a beast as a offensive player and defender
Davis has potential and is good in the open court. Not the best H.S Player in the nation though and needs to work on his strength and post moves
Teauge is so damn quick and blows bu who ever
Wroton has Pro court vision
Beal still reminds me of Eric Gordan
MacaDoo will make a good first option off the bench for Carolina
I’m gonna hate Duke even more Because Cook is very good
Kentucky and Duke Clearly has the best players in this game by a mile and Kentucky has the best group easily
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 6:04pm #519716
LakerQI can’t really say anyone disappointed me because the other good players had better players ahead of them so they really couldn’t do much
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 6:04pm #519717

OhCanada-Participanthes the ugliest prospect since Chris Bosh!
Honestly it seems like Biyambo had like 15 blocks, 9 just doesnt seem right.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 6:07pm #519718

HaleParticipantIt seemed like every time the US was near the rim (other then alley oops) Biyombo got a block. Good lord he was impressive.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 6:13pm #519722
LakerQPangos looks like he is gonna struggle on the college level. He needs to change his idol( Nash) because his defense is very similar to nash’s defense
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 6:17pm #519724
LakerQI tried to post something on here but Biyambo blocked it( thanks RT)
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 6:17pm #519725

OhCanada-ParticipantI agree LakerQ, an established team that needs someone that fits his role ould develop him well. Ive had him going to Phoenix for about a week now at 23 I think but he may have to move up after that performance.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 6:41pm #519729

NashyMingParticipantBiyombo was very impressive. As I mentioned BEFORE the game, he would be a lottery pick this year. This year draft is so weak that if I am a GM, I would probably gamble a late lottery pick on him and let him develop in ACB for a year or two.
Kevin Pangos was horrible tonight. Wiltjer was selfish and chucking and missing shots left and right. The two were probably the biggest reasons why team world was killed so badly in the first half. Seriously disappointed at both Canadians. Maybe they really should have picked Myck Kabongo and Khem Birch instead. Kabongo would be able to match the US guards in speed while Birch can fight in the post better than Wiltjer.
Nogueira is long, but he got push around too much. Whenever, Biyombo is off the floor, team USA has a field trip in the post.
Guo Ailun was too passive. Neto and Saric was ok. Ponitka was the best guard for the world tonight. Fournier and Bertans played well. Karnowski was too slow.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/09/2011 - 7:12pm #519737
speedevilKyle Whiter….ugly white kid, ugly game like Kevin McHale.
Anthony Davis….tall, lanky, unibrow!

0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/10/2011 - 1:57am #519779

kobyzParticipantBiyombo is the closest thing to Ben Wallace
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/10/2011 - 9:24am #519827
LakerQAlso the closest to Deandre Jordan. Raw offense big, athletic
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/10/2011 - 9:27am #519829

butidonthavemoneyPeople are starting to get carried away…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/10/2011 - 9:37am #519833
LakerQDoes that surprise you on here??..lol In about a week he will be the next Shaq
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/10/2011 - 9:47am #519837

BKKnicksfanParticipant@Teamjosh04 Nice site sir.
While I think Biyambo stock is moving up, I do think he’s stilla year or two away from producing at the pro level ( I didn’t watch the game, just saw clips and highlights from practices and such). I would love to get him for my Knicks because I think he could be a great defensive player at the next level.
Let’s slow down with Ben Wallace and such. How about Theo Ratliff?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/10/2011 - 10:00am #519842
JimmeredYaWabafetParticipanthow about Emeka Okafor? i didnt watch Theo back in the day but i saw his stats averaging mainly 3.5 and 4 one season :0
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/10/2011 - 10:02am #519844

OhCanada-ParticipantHe is far away from being a productive player, but if Patrick Young declared for this draft where would he fall. In a draft that maybe hard to find anything more then a role player and even hard to find that especially after the Top 15 Biyambo becomes that much mnore coveted.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/10/2011 - 10:03am #519846

OhCanada-ParticipantI like the Ben Wallace comparison but that is very wishful thinking…Id rather compare him to Joel Anthony.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/10/2011 - 10:05am #519848
JimmeredYaWabafetParticipantJoel Anthony is a terrible player lol might as well compare Biyombo to Sammy D if your gonna low ball him
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/10/2011 - 10:21am #519857
LakerQNo one is doubting him getting drafted in the first round. Talking about getting carried away as far as comparing him
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/10/2011 - 10:32am #519860

BKKnicksfanParticipantOkafor is a fair, but remember this guy is raw offensively
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/10/2011 - 11:45am #519877
teamjosh04Participanthttp://nbaprospects.blogspot.com/2011/04/2011-nike-hoop-summit-prospect_10.html – My 2nd article on the event, this one about Austin Rivers and Tony Wroten
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/10/2011 - 3:07pm #519927
LakerQNice article although Rivers is more than a one dimensional scorer, he has the most offensive weapons out of any guard this year and in the past couple of years, also a pretty good finisher and good athletic ability (, speed, jumping ability). He also played pretty good defense in this game.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/10/2011 - 6:43pm #519977

OhCanada-ParticipantWha limitations makes Joel Anthony horrible? Seems like the exact same limitations Bismack Biyambo has. They are both great energetic rebounding, shot blocking, defensive guys. Lets face it despite their wingspan they are still short, anf undersized for C. Also they are horrible ofensively, that is what limits them. Players like this are not "bad players" they are some of the rarest players to come across in a league with so much resting on salary, and star players. When you can get Joel Anthony playing 20-mpg foryour team at a low salary cost to just due intagible winning things you have a very good player.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/10/2011 - 7:05pm #519988
JimmeredYaWabafetParticipantok they may have the same height/weight/similar wingspan(idk about that last one) but u have to realize Joel was 24 when he entered the Nba,hopefully Bismack isnt like 23 or 22 right now but still he just has 10 blocks in the summit game,if Joel was a good player he would be getting starter minutes but instead he is in the carasell with Erica Dampier and Big Z, when i was on realgm this year before i got waived Heat fans hated him.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/10/2011 - 7:26pm #519995

White ChocolateParticipantBismack Biyombo reminds me of Ben Wallace exactly, both are 6-9 which is undersized for a center. Both are great defensive players, both are great rebounders, and both are limited offensively.
They make up for their height by using their athleticism, I see Biyombo playing power forward in the NBA, but playing at center for a few minutes.
