"There’s not gonna make it this year, I’m willing to bet that. They went 17-17 last season."

"Lol, Walker won’t be close to winning P.O.Y. He’s not going to be a candidate over Kalin Lucas."
- Now to JNixon’s credit, he did say Kemba has NBA starter potential and would be a better NBA pro than Kalin Lucas.

"Nixon’s probably right, NPOY might be a stretch for Walker. I like him better than Kalin Lucas but I just don’t see UConn having the kind of year he would need in order to win that award."

scoutguruParticipantYikes! Don’t go fetching my preseason Kemba comments… Na but I wasn’t as harsh as some others were, but I also wasn’t singing his praises either. I wasn’t to confident that his game would take it to that level this season after many were saying his experiences with Team USA last summer would help him and make him a more confident player. However, I imagined him in a role similar to last year, having primarily point guard duties, in which his play was uneven as a soph. But he had to do both distribute and score so his role changed, and his game and talent blossomed. But kudos to Kemba, he put in the work and now he’s a National Champion and almost certain to be a lottery pick.

McDunkinYikes! Don’t go fetching my pre-school Kemba comments
"Anybody that thinks the red ranger is stronger than the green ranger will never win a NCAA mens basketball championship or a Final Four MVP"

Scottoant93ParticipantOnce I filled out my bracket I had Pitt and UCONN in the final with Uconn winning. I always thought kemba was a good player and uconn would make it compareed to the rest of the big east. I have as the 3rd best pg in the draft behind irving, and knight

i’m jus so offendedParticipanti’d take him over kyrie, don’t care wat ppl say…kyrie shut out nolan smith, is overhyped imo, will be a great pro but i’m jus utterly astonished but wat kemba has accomplished, u can’t teach his swag, leadership, clutchness. sorry but kyrie hasn’t shown much of any of that. he does have crazy handles and is crafty with his lack of elite foot speed but im jus on the kemba train right now

The8thDeadlySinParticipantHe proved alot to me.. I still think that he is better suited to be a scoring punch off the bench.. I know yall were seeing those stats with Kemba at the 1.. He shoots much better and scores at a higher clip when he is playing off a PG.. Unless he plays with a guy like BRoy or JoeJohnson, he isnt a starting PG.. Now, if he gets put on a team like Cleveland, he has to start because they need a scorer no matter where he plays.. And, he could play off of Davis or Sessions..
On most teams, he will be a great punch off the bench.. On some teams, he will be an exciting, shoot first PG.. I dont know which on I woud rather see..
