It is a surprising stat. You would think lebron would be ahead of Rose in this catergory, seeing as, Lebron is Lebron, and Rose "doesnt play any defense".

What does on ball defense have to do with blocks? I guess the Rose fans should take their own advice and watch him play.

Steroid, where did i say on "ball defense". I said any defense. blocking is part of defense, last time i checked. unless if its part of offense?

Hakeem Olajuwon 3,830 NBA career blocks 541 ahead of Mutombo. I think "The Dream" has most blocks!

It is a defensive stat, but it’s an over-glorified one just as well as steals. Stat pretty much averages 2 blocks a game. Just by looking at that, one would think he’s a top tier defender. Clearly not the case. How is it interesting when Wade has them almost by double in both categories that is mentioned in the OP? Just because Rose and LeBron are MVP candidates and Wade isn’t? That just means this should be taken with a grain of salt because if this really mattered Wade would be more mentioned in the MVP race, right? I mean he did ask who has more blocks than LeBron… Well Wade has both of them in blocks.

Numerous times on NBA.com and other places that blocks and steals don’t always equal a great defender. Forced turn overs, bad shooting percentages against certain players tell you if someone is a good defender or not. Its impressive he has more blocks than Lebron and offensive rebounds. But whats impressive is Lebron is rebounding with two other average rebounders like Wade and Bosh who have to sniff around in the paint for them as well. Whats impressive is Lebron is a triple double threat every game while having two other superstars at times get as many touches as he does. Lets not compare those two, Rose is a great story and a great player and is more than likely a sure lock as the MVP. But is not having a superior season to Lebron. Stat wise anyway…
