MDanotni said that Knicks Offense should run through Carmelo. With Amare fading/actually being overused down the stretch is this Now Melo’s team with Amare being Robin, may not seem like much but Amare made NY Relevant again in the 1st half of the season. They just don’t have enough Depth.

Melo only knows how to play one way… and it has nothing to do with team ball.  Melo is the most overhyped player in the NBA today.  Basketball is a team sport and Melo is a team sport killer.  Me me me.  Amare will obviously be the one to back down…

Amare is the better player, but Melo is good enough to also be the number one option. Amare isn’t faiding, he just isn’t being used and he isn’t getting the pick and role feeds that he is used to. And keep in mind that all big men are dependent on guards or wings passing them the ball because bigs can’t bring the ball up and the generally can’t create off of wing isolation plays. Amare needs a pick and role or a post feed, both are dependent on someone else making a play. Unless the coach makes Melo do it, it isn’t going to happen that offen.

Yep that’s melo’s team, that’s new york nuggetbockers too.

Going nowhere with that type of PG in "d’antoni’s offense", u have no size, u hate legits C’s, no D, weak as hell in rebounding if offensively u have a poor ball movement, bad execution, a pick and roll for stat every 4 games(ty chauncey)…that’s pretty ugly and inefficient.

Men, when stat sits u got jeffries-shawne williams "inside", i love this game….knicks"where d’antoni happens".

Their superstar that carried them through the first half of the season is fading, they’ve lost 12 of their last 20 games and their chemistry has been killed with the playoffs coming up.

Think they wouldn’t want Gallo, Chandler and Felton there instead? That team would never fade and had developed great chemistry.

Chauncey Billups is more comfortable playing with Melo rather than Amare. Next year they’ll be dangerous when all three of them will be on the same page mentally and working together. But with only half a season under their belt, I doubt they can be very relevant until next year (they will put on a showing in the first round, though).
