Lotto StudParticipantI solely believe if Thomas Robinson puts his name in this years draft he will be the Daniel Orton of the class. What I mean is he will be a 1st Round pick off of potential & his tragic story, not to say it will be a bad thing. I just think that a team will consider helping him out financially, for what he has been through throughout this year. If you think about it, out of all the players that will come out from Kansas he has a similar, Orton type of career stat wise for a team that was loaded with talent. His stats won’t wow you, but if you watch him play you would think otherwise. 7.6ppg 6.4rpg does not measure his heart nor toughness. Me personally if it were not for his tragic story I would not recommend him to declare, but I see him going in the 1st if he puts his name in.

delfamParticipantprobably C.J. Leslie, he’s just to skinny and raw right now. If he stays all four years and gains some weight he could go lottery but if he comes out this year I see him being out of the league in 5 years.

Lotto StudParticipantYou misunderstood the thread title…..What I mean is who will be drafted in the 1st but belongs in the 2nd Round. Not about how long they will last. C.J. will not go nowhere near Round 1 if he comes out he has a lot of work to do.

DanEboyParticipantJereme Richmond. Rumors are he may enter and will be drafted off potential. He is still raw and has a ways to go.

ilike.panochasParticipantThat would be a disastrous move by Richmond. To me, he’s a less polish Demar Derozan coming out of USC, and Derozan was already as raw as he was. Richmond needs 1 more year in college, but I can see him declaring this year based on his disagreements with his coaching staffs.

Hi its BenParticipantPatric Young if he goes would be a hugeee mistake. He’s a big guy who’s athletic but EXTREMELY raw and only averaged like 3 points per game. Big mistake to go if he does.

Lotto StudParticipantI really love Jereme Richmond, but if the rumors are true about his mental makeup he will be lucky to get drafted.
Come on guys give me a for sure 2nd Rounder who will go at the end of the 1st. Talking DANIEL ORTON

delfamParticipantI could see Justin Holiday going at the end of the 1st round since he is such a great defender and the championship caliber teams at the end of the round covet those types of players. Off talent he is a second rounder but he could go 1st.

B FreeParticipantYour making the Daniel Orton situation sound like he was a 2nd rounder who snuck into the bottom of the first when in reality he was a young guy who came out WAY to early and still got into the bottom of the first due to potential, you are looking for the next Lazar Hayward a player who wasn’t a first round talent but with good defense and a well rounded, polished offense worked into the bottom of round 1. If thats the question I will say Rick Jackson.

Scottoant93ParticipantIdk about 1st round talent but I think Greg Smith might be one of those players. Never seen him play, but his stats are decent 11 and 8, anyone know anything about him. Based on his stats he should of satyed in school, since he plays for frenso state

Dale WorthingtonParticipant"What I mean is who will be drafted in the 1st but belongs in the 2nd Round."
Memphis, if you think that Thomas Robinson belongs in the 2nd round because he averaged 7.5 and 6.5, then you are sorely mistaken.
He played less than 15 minutes a game.
Give him full P.T. and he’s a POY candidate.
He also is an excellent athlete.
If he comes out this year he will be a top 20 pick.

BKKnicksfanParticipantBut if you’re a 2nd rounder and you get drafted late first…is that much of a reach?

Snubs15ParticipantI think if Josh Selby declares he would go late first just like how Orton did, and solely based on potential.
His numbers this year werent great but he didnt really get the minutes kinda like how Orton didnt get much pt at Kentucky. Pretty similar situations imo.
