Raptors89ParticipantMan, I just started a post without realizing you had started one. Anyways, I think they should go for a SF, but if not, pick the best player availabe

QuazedUnicornParticipantYeah man i just saw your post haha. i was going to comment on yours. Well i have to agree that Sf would be theire best position because i’ve been reading on these forums that Dalembert Would really love to play in Toronto so that could be a short term center answer. If he comes out I’d really love to draft Harrison Barnes

nateoak10ParticipantJames Johnson has been playing nice at SF

sheltwon3ParticipantI think trading Bargnani should be something that needs to be done so they can build around Davis, DeRozan and some younger players. James Johnson looks like he could possibly be a key piece as well but if Toronto has a shot at Williams, they need to take him. They may also look at moving Barbosa.

Raptors89Participantnateoak10, I agree with you that james johnson has been playing well for the raptors, especially on defence, but do you see him improving his outside shot enough to become a starter for the Raptors. A defensive specialist with good ball-handling skills is the role I see him with in the near future. Even right now, he’s only averaging 26 mpg with them.

nateoak10ParticipantOr JJ at SF? I’d rather have a hole at SF with a decent player starting then a bad player starting at center (a more important position)

Snubs15ParticipantYeah trading Barbosa is another good idea. He does have decent value because his offense is ridiculous off the bench and some teams would really like that. He takes away minutes from demar and if we draft a sg/sf i think barbosa would have to go.
Trading bargnani for a defensive minded player at any position, or any kind of future assets would have me content. I dont really know what other gm’s think of bargnanis value so i dont know what wed get for him. A first round pick would be nice.
Free agency we could pick up a good C if that hole isnt filled already. I have faith in Greg Oden but that could also be a horrible idea and could screw the organization for years if we do that.

heinzboydParticipantSince we are picking 5th, Id like the Raptors to trade thier 1st round pick (5th),Amir Johnson,James Johnson, and Jerryl Bayless to Minnesota for Anthony Randolph,Johhny Flynn,Darko Milicic and Minnesota 1st round (20th). Then we should trade that 1st round pick (20th) and 9 million exception from the Bosh deal to Golden State for Andres Biedrins.
2011-2012 Lineup
PF Ed Davies , Anthony Randolph, Reggie Evans (FA veteran)
C Andres Biedrins, Darko Milicic, Soloman Alabi
SF Andrea Bargnani, Linas Kleiza, Grant Hill (FA veteran)
SG DeMar DeRozan, Leo Barbosa
PG Jonny Flynn, Jose Calderon, JJ Barea (FA rookie)
Lets face it hard to trade Bargnani and Calderon, so this way Bags to SF give him chance to shoot as well as gives him minutes in lineup, Calderon would either start or come off bench depending if Flynn jells with DeRozan right away. Evans and Hill would give Raptors great veterans to help youngster almost like playing coaches. The team might not have a STAR but they would be very young and would be solid.

omphalosParticipantBargnani is not a SF. They need to play him like Dirk at the PF spot.
