festar35ParticipantI am a big fan of guards in the NBA
I was wondering how you think these guys will end up being in the NBA and how you would rank them?
Paul George
Rodrigue Beaubois
Demar Derozan
Jordan Crawford
Marcus Thornton
Darren Collison
Ty Lawson
DJ Augustin

kngojcParticipantPaul George- More of a forward, but I think that he could be good for the Pacers especially if Granger gets hurt and he can play his normal position. If he has to play SG, then I think he will need to improve his shot and ball handling in order to stay with the SG’s of the league.
Rodrigue Beaubois- I really like his talent and his potential. With the Mavs, he can be a high impact player especially if he can get some extra teachings from the future HOF in Jason Kidd. His shot and his athleticism are great for him and if he can improve his decision making and game management and make the transition from a small SG to a DRose type PG, I think he could be great.
Demar DeRozan- One of the soon to be multiple All-Stars of this group. He has ELITE athleticism and is starting to come into the leading role for the Raptors. When he improves his shot, he will be a duel threat and when that happens, he will become a 20-25 ppg scorer. Exactly what the Raps need.
Jordan Crawford- (I don’t like LBJ at all..) I would love to see him become a great player and get to see him dunk on LeBron for real this time and really make some noise with the Wizards. Most trouble with his development right now is giving him enough time to develop and fulfill his potential while still giving time to Nick Young and John Wall. If all three can play in a three guard system in Washington, they could be a fierce offensive trio.
Marcus Thornton- Every time I see this guy play, he wows me. He is a great shooter that can create his own shot. Playing SG with Tyreke could make him a 20 ppg scorer and give him enough opportunity to be an elite scorer for that team. His shot is already great but if he can get it better while improving his inside game, he could be damn good.
Darren Collison- Bit of a sophomore slump after his great season replacing CP3 during his injuries. Not consistent enough to be an All Star.. Yet. Consistency needs to improve, shooting is a concern even though it has improved, and also improving his assist to turnover ratio. Could be an All Star if he goes back to that play style he had backing up CP3. I think he has too much pressure on him for him to get better. They thought he would just come in and be a difference maker right away. He needs more time to improve his PG skills.
Ty Lawson- With Felton in there possibly giving him mentoring, Lawson could transform into an elite game manager. I could almost see him like Billups without the clutch shooting. Much faster and athletic than Billups which could make him better than Chauncey for a number of years. I think he could be an All Star in about 3-4 years.
DJ Augustin- I really liked the Bobcats before the trades at the deadline really dissected this team.. He could be a great PG if he gets better at creating shots. He’s got a great shot but is a little undersized and that could really affect him getting into the lane and finishing but also shooting over taller defenders.
Some players I’d like to hear about their possible futures are:
Johnny Flynn
O.J. Mayo
Jerryd Bayless
James Harden
Wesley Mathews
Steph Curry
Aaron Brooks
Eric Gordon
George Hill

WolvesFutureParticipantThe Wolves had a trade in place to send Flynn to Houston for Aaron Brooks, but Glen Taylor nixed it because his investors refused to spend any more money this season. Look for him to be traded for a future 1st Rounder, or if Kahn has his original request, traded to the Suns for a resigned Aaron Brooks. I don’t expect Ridnour or Flynn to be back with the Wolves this next season, their plan, at least according to AM Radio and one of my boys who works in the Wolves org, is to get a starting PG like Felton, Brooks, or Lowry and have Rubio be his backup. They’ll be staying far away from Kyrie Irving, to convince Rubio that he’s their future, and because they want more veterans. Expect them to get Raja Bell or another cheap, defensive minded, veteran SG. Flynn has been absolutely attrocious this season, he just doesn’t look interested, throwing passes away, I remember hearing an advanced scout at one of their recent games just tear Flynn a new one, he may have one of the worst BBIQs in the NBA for a PG. You could argue that he’s been one of the worst players in the NBA this season based on efficiency. He needs to get healthy and eat some humble pie, the guy thinks he’s great when he’s far from it. I’ll be ecstatic once he’s off the Wolves and they get some legitimate PGs. I don’t blame Kahn for this, there were several other teams, namely Sacramento and Toronto that would’ve selected Flynn, Sacramento if Tyreke wasn’t available. He also didn’t select Lawson, Denver did, they already had traded the pick to them before the selection was made, and how many other teams passed on Lawson/Holliday/Collison that needed PG help? Hopefully Rubio can make up for this by being the 4th best player in the ’09 Draft after Blake, Tyreke, and Curry. Ridnour has been efficient, but he has been absolutely terrible in crunch time, they would’ve won 25-30 games this year with a legitimate starting PG, they have absolutely no poise or composure once the 4th Quarter hits, their PGs are a major factor to blame for this. Whether Rubio ever comes to MN IDK, the Wolves new TV and Radio marketing campaign claims to "Watch for more Rubio sightings", we’ll see……..

Scottoant93ParticipantPaul George-He reminds of his temmate Granger, if they can play togather as he develops that would make a good scoring duo. Hopefully he reaches that potential
Rodrigue Beaubois- I see him as the future mavs starting pg for many years, after kidd retires. He needs to stay healthy
Demar Derozan- regarded as new vince carter for the raptors, I think he has a bright future, has a nice mid range game and athlethic, needs to work on defense, ball handling, and become a better ball handler
Jordan Crawford-reminds of someone with the same last jamal crawford, scores in bunches, needs to be more consistent, and take better shots.possible 6th man of the year
Marcus Thornton- nice scoring guard, think he is really underated, bright future for him if expands his game more
Darren Collison- pg of present and future of pacers, really needs to improve i think once he get more options around he will step his game up, is decent right now
Ty Lawson- future of denver, plays well, once felton is gone it will be officially his team(it already is), fast, could improve finding his teammates better, sometimes he doesn’t pass to open players(seen him do that a couple time)
DJ Augustin- playing well as late since coaching change for bobcats,I really think he is a backup pg, not a starter

apb540ParticipantJodie Meeks. He has been one of the unsung heroes for the Sixers revival. Dude plays adequate D, can get into the paint, and is money from mid-range or 3. Very underrated.

Scottoant93ParticipantI remeber they called him Michael Redd 2.0, when he played for the bucks, they might be a good comparison

omar dayzeParticipantkngojc- i remember watching workout tapes of Paul George and his stroke looked effortless and consistent out to the NBA 3. I dont watch many Pacers games so I dont know how hes looked this year but imo the J isnt a problem for him
