If you have the #1 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft (no matter which team you were) and the Utah Jazz call you up and offer you the #6 pick, #12 pick, and Golden Stats future 2012 1st round pick (1-7 protected), would you take their offer?

The reason I wouldn’t do it because I think either derrick williams or kyrie irving are the two players most likely to be stars in the nba so I wouldn’t pass on two likely stars for role players when there is no established star on my team wich is usually the case when you pick number one.

    Kemba Walker>Jimmer Freddette

He is everything you want in a Point Guard

    1. Control the pace of the game whether fast or slow

    2. Makes teammates better

    3. Applies pressure on the opposing pg from jump

    4. Can score when needed and is calm and cool when the game is on the line

    Possible Destinations

    Charlotte, New York and Phoenix

^^^ u kidding me? makes teamates better? of course kemba does because the entire team defense is focuesed around kemba because the rest of the team isnt half as good(of course opposing teams will play BYU the same way but i didnt see kemba walker with any 50 pt games…). no way kemba will own jimmer ever.. jimmer will be a better player in every aspect, he will be able to play off the ball, better passer, better shooter with better range and would be far better than kemba on any of those teams you have just listed (neither would get much playing time in charlotte..).

i don’t see kemba walker being better than ji

the nba game suites kemba better, he’s quicker, more athletic, and is a better defender, wit the floor spread and better teammates kemba will be able to show off his true pg skills

Off course, You would do that deal.

I don’t think that the Jazz would offer such a thing for the 1st pick, maybe if the circumstances were the same as last year.

Now the Jazz would get a guy they most possibly are able to get with the 6th pick and they have another pick left to replace Kirilenko.

If I were to receive those picks you could get two guys you want instead of just one, and since there isn’t a clear cut number one it’s a safe bet those guys turn out to be better than the 1st pick.

you definetly take that deal.. the top 7-8 players on the board will bring around equal firepower to your team. you lose out on derrick williams or kyrie irving, but you still get to draft someone like perry/terrence jones and with the 12th you could still get a stud like brandon knight/kemba walker/marcus morris/deandre liggins. So not only are you not losing much in the talent gap between 1st and 6th, but you receive another franchise player, on a Rookie contract, not to mention the GS pick for the next year. BTW you also save a little cash due to the drop in rookie scale contracts. I love kyrie irving but if your working from scratch like the top 8 teams (minus the T-wolves), you have to trade back for those picks, which can turn around a team in 1-2 years.

Can’t My Jazz just trade those picks for Rubio?
