STATnMeloParticipantPG- Billups/Lawson vs Billups/Douglas- Billups/Douglas….They both are defensive minded and Lawson attributed a lot of his success to Billups. Douglas will learn a lot from Billups and become a better player in this deal
2 Guard- Afflalo vs Fields- Fields and Afflalo are similar but Fields is bigger rebounds more and shoots jus as good. He defends well and has a high IQ. I say Fields
Melo with Denver vs Melo with New York- Melo will have so much focus and ambition he will definitely look to shine bright in New York averages of 29-9-4 with %’s of 50-38-88. Melo is what New York needed all along
Frontcourt- Nene/Martin vs Stoudemire/Turiaf- come on now Turiaf is better then Martin from an attitude and work ethic standpoint. Stoudemire soars over Nene easily
Key Roles Players
Smith/Harrington vs Williams/Brewer/Barron(???)- Smith and Harrington both score…while Shawne Williams scores, and Brewer defends which is key…Earl Barron who is very underrated may be picked up when they waive either Anthony Carter or Roger Mason and will prove valuable to New York in the long run
So New York is a better situation for Melo not to mention the last 2 teams in the Western Conference Finals were Nuggets and Suns and 3 key guys were Anthony/Stoudemire/Billups who now headline the Knicks out East.
Billups-Fields-Anthony-Stoudemire-Turiaf
Douglas-Williams-Brewer-Barron
Trouble comin soon

sheltwon3ParticipantKnicks will be tough and I think if they can pick up some unsung bigs they can at least compete in the playoffs. Miami is lacking in a true 5 and point guard and yet they can probably be the number one team in a few.

sheltwon3ParticipantCan you imagine how Douglas will be under Billups guidance. Billups is the perfect mentor to Douglas. He could turn Douglas into a future starting point guard.

Melo2Amare1ParticipantI know!! Even Landry Fields will benefit from Chauncey as he seems like the type that is constantly soaking up knowledge. Players such as Douglas, Fields and Shawne Williams will definitely benefit from this trade as both of their minutes should go up allowing them to get into more of a flow throughout games. I definitely think they can win a round and maybe (but highly unlikely) 2 in the playoffs this year, its all about momentum and clicking.
