    Final Score-130-125-Rookies

    Rookies MVP-John Wall
Wall is playing with his old teammates Bledsoe and Cousins and also a higflyer in Blake Griffin which will mean alot of oppurtunities to become the leader of this team. He will be throwing some great lob passes the Blake and seems like the type of player to thrive in a highlight fest Allstar type game. Also the only other PG in the game would be Bledsoe. Cousins, and Griffin are other MVP candidates.

    Sophmore MVP-Dejaun Blair
Dejaun Blair is the only offensive minded post player on this team, and he will have to deal with Cousins, Griffin, Favors and Monroe in the post who arent great defenders whether or not they are playing in an allstar game. Last year Blair led the rookies with 22-points and 23-rebounds before being robbed of the MVP award, to the point where the orginal winner Tyreke Evans even stated Blair deserved the award. Jennings has a great flair these type of games but is still somewhat injured so I dont think he will play much, so other MVP candidates would be Stephen Curry, and DeMar Derozan who should be upset about being held out of last years game.

    Most 3 pointers-Stephen Curry

    Most Fouls-DeMarcus Cousins

    Most Exciting Dunk-Blake Griffin

    Most Points- Blake Griffin

    Most Rebounds- Dejaun Blair

    Most Assits- John Wall

But what if the Hurricane is called Hurricane Ditka? I predict the sophomores will win. I know, Blake Griffin is playing, he is an All-Star, and he and John Wall are probably the best two players in the game when all is said and done, but even after playing last night, Blair is going to beast in these guys. I like the Sophomores guards much more as a whole and they should have their way with them. You never want to play big man ball in these games, and that would probably be what the rooks would have to do to win. Monroe/Cousins will be pretty quiet and Ibaka/Blair will wreak havoc. I also expect Stephen Curry to score about 7 trey’s and Jennings to overpass and get a gazillion assists. Sophomore’s and I do not think it will be to close.

I expect Jennings to be relativly quiet due to his teams needs. I also think DeMar Derozan will really try to show the basketball world what hes about, and guys like Curry, who have respect and recognition wont try to do too much. I can see Curry breaking the record for 3’s without breaking a sweat lol. Blair loves getting a chance to get away from Pop anf be a star for the moment so he should beast. I also dont think this is a big mans game, that is why I say Wall will be utilized so well. Hes the pointgaurd and if he gets greedy then the bigss wont get touches. But Griffin is not your typical big man. Should be really fun, lots of athletic dunks should be on our way in this one.

To be Brandon Jennings in an All-Star game! He will play, may not play a lot, but he will get his. DeRozan will definitely be in his element as well. I remember Jrue Holliday and DeMar DeRozan killing it in the 2008 Hoop Summit, and I know that Jrue had a monster Elite 24 his last year with Jennings I believe. Plus, all of them are coming home! They should put on a show. DeRozan is a definite MVP sleeper, but I do not harbor the same ill will you do about him not being chosen last year. He might have deserved it, but it was not a sure thing, like this year. The Rookies have more athletic big guys, but no one is pushing around Ibaka, Gibson and Blair. What did Kentucky do last year against West Virginia again? Yeah, they had no Blake Griffin, but these sophomores aren’t West Virginia either. If Blair was out, I might be worried, but with him playing and Evans out, Sophomores still take it. Griffin will have to be huge and I am sure Bledsoe gets props. But their are more people from LA on the soph’s, they will get mad love too. Even Harden went to Artesia! Gibson played for USC! I think the sophomore’s feel they have a lot to prove, and they do it.

You were right dude, Rookies win, Wall MVP. Sophomore’s were a little disappointing and Jennings/Curry blew goats. John Wall was awesome though, as was Cousins, Wes Johnson, DeJuan Blair and James Harden (even though I do not think he passed the ball once). Fairly fun game though, always a good time and an unpredictable game as to who is going to bring it.

      cousins: 33 pts, 14 rebs, 1 ast, 3 stl, 1 blk, 1 TO, 63% fg

      wall: 12 pts, 2 rebs, 22 ast, 2 stl, 0 blk, 5 TO, 55% fg

cousins should be the mvp on that game. 20 assists is overated on that kind of game (no defense), especially youre a pg and you dominate the ball, if you want 20 assist, just concentrate on passing. the reason cousins lost the mvp award, is because of fan voting or popularity contest. cousins is villian to most nba basketball fans.
