yellowdunkerParticipantHarrison Barnes- my expectation was +national player of the year/#1 pick -do the the hype havent showed the it factor as the like of D.Rose/M.beasley/K.Durant/T.Evans all being freshmen leading there teams
Jared Sullinger-I had Jereme Richmond big ten freshmen of the year before the start of the season I was proven wrong night after night by sullinger dominating the paint in ppg’s and rpg’s he might see player of the year and freshmen of the year award
Perry Jones-he still one of my top 5 picks of the draft he proved to me he can play some SF at the next level I had him leading baylor in scoring and rebounds but to senior play there the confidence is down and he’s not really allowed the green light
Kyrie Irving- already NBA pg’s already opened the door for him…I havent seen him play much this season but i wanted nubers like 14 and 7 the injury occured and held him back I thought he wouldve been a runner up for the freshmen award
Brandon Knight-IMO i was looking for at least 22ppg’s a game, in h.s. years this dude was jacking shots from everywhere proably averaged no more than really 3assist a game he proved to me he can go either direction most def a lotto pick natural score first gaurd but has a all around game for kentucky.
C.J Leslie-I was lookin for him to lead his conference in double double’s and show flashes of a SF for the next level maybe one and done type of guy, I think he needs another year he’s played soft and he gives u a tease on a nightly basis knowing what he’s capible of.
Jereme Richmond-like I said before I thought he was going to be the big ten freshmen of the year this kid haves alot of upside 6’7” frame he’s a athletic point foward he can handle the rock, score from the block, or be your clutch playmaker i knew this kid was gonna be a poormans evan turner with (numbers) (not potential) 14ppg’s 6rpg’s 4ast a night but due to bruce weber giving him the B.J Mullens treatment which means he’s hiding his potential to keep him there so he’s bringing him off the bench when he can start on any team.*sn* Illinois havent had a all-american since?????

Stanford hoops1I’m still wondering what game has Perry shown he can play the three even at the college level?..Every time he gets switched on a SF he shows he’s a bad defender on the wing. He has hit one three all year,he rarely hits midrange shots. His points come from the paint 90 percent of the time. And his handles on the wing in the half court isn’t good enough to be a SF full time. His game is much more PF who can drive past over Slower PF in the NBA and he should make a pretty good living doing that
Barnes- thought he would be better
Leslie-told people on here he doesn’t have one and done talent and he is not a SF
Fab Melo- said he was raw and would struggle in college, actually was even worst then i thought
Irving- i thought he would battle for the starting pg spot, he ended up being better than i thought
Joe Jackson- laughed when people compared him to iverson because i watched him in Vegas and wasn’t that impressed, said Corey Joesph is a better player figured he would be ok though and he is just that…ok
Brandon Knight is doing pretty much what i thought he would
Tobias Harris is doing well but i thought he would dominate, playing very passive and Like Perry he lets the upperclassmen do more. Has shown better SF skills then Perry though
T.Jones has played much better than i thought. Had not really watched him much in h.s
Pat. Young- never understood why people over hyped him. He has a man’s body but very raw and no real skills. Athletic though
Jared Sullinger- said he would be the best freshman other than Tobias and would dominate the paint as others said " he’s too slow, nonathletic"
Josh Selby- thought he would do alot better until i realized how good the other Kansas players were then i knew his game would be held back. His game is more suited for Kentucky,Duke or the NBA

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantHarrison Barnes- I honestly thought the expectations of this kid were unfairly high…but he’s pretty damned good. I think he’ll be good enough to be an impact player in the NBA in a few years time. Right now though, he’s still trying to find his game. Not that that’s a bad thing, it just took him longer to adjust than expected.
Jared Sullinger- BEAST. This is the freshman they should have put on the preseason All American team. He’ll go top 5, and have a career like Kevin Love.
Perry Jones- I’m not as high on him as a lot of people are. I’ve seen him play 3 times, and he just seems disinterested everytime I see him. I seriously question his effort/work ethic, and his defense is piss-poor. But, he can score like a mofo. I still think he’ll go top 5, but I have serious doubts as to whether he’ll be a big time NBA guy- he could very well prove me wrong, but I’m not sold.
*Kyrie Irving- The real deal. He’s been just as good as advertised. Were he not injured, I’d say he’d be a first team AA (or 2nd team), and up there with the player of the year candidates. He’ll go top 3, and some team will be lucky to have a very good PG for the next few years.
Brandon Knight- The dude can score, but his PG skills are questionable. I think he’ll be like a Jason Terry/Mo Williams type- a scoring PG, but not a great playmaker.
Josh Selby- O-VER-RAT-ED. I guess not being able to play factors into his play thus far, but he’s really not impressed me. He’s got flashes of greatness, but then he forces a really dumb shot/ a really dumb pass. He reminds me of Jerryd Bayless.
Terrence Jones- This, to me, is the biggest surprise of the freshman class. He looks like he could play well as a pro right now. He’ll be a Lamar Odom type, and he gives more effort on the floor than Odom does. A Top 5- top 10 pick for sure.
**Renardo Sidney- The dude’s got talent, no lie. But this guy’s gotta go see a psychologist. He’s got an outrageous sense of entitlement, and a temper to boot. He reminds me of a slightly less talented, heavier, shorter-tempered DeMarcus Cousins.
C.J. Leslie- An athletic freak of nature, but hasn’t put together a consistent game yet. It’ll come, it will just take some time.
Fab Melo- Probably the biggest disappointment of the freshman class thus far. He’s got a Loooooooooong way to go before he becomes good enough for the NBA.
Cory Joseph, Tristian Thompson- These two Canadian freshmen have been very, very good. Thompson has the look of a pro already, and Joseph is much better than his brother, Devoe. Both will go pro; it’s just a matter of when.

raybeasParticipantbetween Perry Jones and Charlie Villeneueva? Havent seen Jones yet, but they sound alike(at the same stage of development), except CV has a better outside shot
