Johnny KilroyParticipantWhy would Tony Parker want to set screens for the next 4 years?

McDunkini cant predict how coach k would use him considering he is the first bigman with a low post game and the strength to use it that they will have had in years…if he does choose them

Im Your FatherParticipantYou do realize that Krzyzewski uses his big men when they are actually good. Not too long ago Elton Brand, Carlos Boozer, Sheldon Williams were All Americans. Hell, even Josh McRoberts was a featured player.

Im Your FatherParticipant@Urban,
I think McRoberts gets hated on a little too much. 13ppg 8rpg 3.5apg and 2bpg is pretty darn good for a sophomore. I think if he’d stayed another year in school people’s perception of him, at least as a college player, would be a lot different.

Ghost01ParticipantI think McRoberts had potential to be a good college player, but he left before he was anywhere near one, and hes somehow tricked the Indiana Pacers into thinking hes a starting NBA player. I think alot of the hate also stems from the fact as Duke’s "star" McRoberts lead them to there worst season of the decade.

Im Your FatherParticipantBut I don’t think that Season was really his fault, he is not a first option type player and he was forced into that position, where he wasn’t very comfortable. But that doesn’t mean he didn’t do some very good things on the court.

akhan786ParticipantYou seem to know a lot about Duke Basketball…do you think Sheed will have much of an impact during his freshman season cause I’m totally fine with him getting back up minutes if it were to mean we get Shabazz as well.

Stanford hoops1I don’t think This recruit will play much. They still are gonna have Dawkins,Seth,Rivers,Thornton
Coming into Duke McRoberts had star potential. Watched him on TV and once during that summer and i was very impressed. He was athletic, had good handles for a PF, had a nice mid-range and worked hard. Its rare that i like a player committed to duke but i really thought this guy would come in and have a Kris Humphries first year there

This is 2 years from now. Dawkins will be gone, Seth will be a Sr, Rivers will be gone and Thornton a Jr.

Im Your FatherParticipantI do not think that Sheed will play a ton a freshman year, but it will depend a lot on who stays/goes. But, while Duke is very much in the race for Shabazz, I wouldn’t count on him going there.

BKKnicksfanParticipantI agree, I don’t think he will see too much time as a freshman, but I can see him getting a good amount as a sophomore. I like the Ewing comparison
