Shout out to primetime first for the H.O.F induct

Now This Hype train is about to crash

The best PG debate is over Out of all the PG’s that yall love and hype up Rondo is the best- He got the ring (dont care if he play with aged HOF"s) and he plays the best when it count in the playoffs in the regular season.

This post is really for all the media and bloggers that were all hype in the summer saying D.Rose and K. Durant was the face of the NBA. Yes they are great but when LBJ was getting bashed in the media yall all thought yes time to get KD to be the face but no, what everyone for that Kobe was listening, LBJ, Dwade, Melo was listening. Melo even said its personal from now on with KD because people said he was better.

D rose is playing on a MVP level huh yea but how many think he will win a ring this year , how many of yall doubt that if matched up with rondo again he wont get the same treatment like before (ala triple doubled averaged on in the playoffs SMH) Yall just need to pipe down and let the game speak for its self.

Yeah i aint forget about CP3 you can get it also if you ever make any noise in the playoffs and not that crying in the Regular Season.

If yall disagree let me have it     thats how im felling right now

Lol I agree somewhat just because I understand what youre really saying, other people are about to give you negatives because you say it too harsh. I dont think Rondo is better then Paul by any means thou. Paul and Westbrook both have perimeter defense that is very good and maybe even elite for NBA 1’s. Rondo is not the best PG imo, the whole lack off a jumpshot and freethrow shooting is what kills it. Although Rose is also not an MVP and his lack of perimeter D makes him unabkle to claim best PG. The NBA lives off of hype, if theres no hype the market crashes like what youre seeing with the NHL.

On Canada you right i say it in the voice that people dont like but its the truth right now CP3 cant say much to rondo cause he got the ring   and he got it not by sitting the bench like Adam Morrison of DJ benga but by playing a part.

Its like this You can put kobe in the jordan conversation cause he got 5 rings but if he was the same player he is now with no rings it’s not even worth talking about

Rondo is not the best PG. He doesn’t have the same impact on the game as Rose, CP3, or D Will. He is a good player but he is definetly not the best PG.

If you put him on the Bulls or Hornets, they wouldn’t be nearly as good with him as they were with Rose or CP3.

Right now both Rose and Rondo can win you games but in different ways but if i had to choose one for my team, I would choose Rose.  I just like his take over ability on the offense and most teams play team defense so I dont need Rose to be a top notch defender but just be solid and use his quickness and length to make teams pg work.  I am still a little skeptical about Rondo on a team that does not have great scorers on it.

Some people take championship rings a little to seriously when assessing how good players are. You get a ring from having a good team, not just from being a good player. Rings can be used when both players are pretty much in the same situation(like being the best player on their team or being the 3rd option). You can’t just say this 1 guy is better just cause he has a ring and the other doesnt, you have to look at skill set and situation. If you wanna just look at rings is Lamar Odom a better power forward than Chris Bosh or is Pau Gasol a better center than Dwight Howard? Didn’t think so.

What is this guy even arguing?  So Chris Paul, Deron Williams, and Derrick Rose can’t say anything to Chauncey Billups because he has a ring?  Ok, got it.

So the fact that Derrick Rose is leading his Bulls as the #1 scoring option to one of the top records in the league doesn’t make him good?  Ok, got it.

So the fact that Deron Williams constantly leads his team to the playoffs with little help from anybody else on his team doesn’t make him good?  Ok, got it.

So the fact that Chris Paul is a yearly top 5 candidate for MVP doesn’t make him good?  Ok, got it.

So the fact that Rondo did NOTHING at all in the ’08 Finals and won a ring because of KG, Pierce, Allen, Perk makes him better than the rest?  Ok, got it.

Let’s see how Rondo fared in the 2008 Finals..

    • 9.3ppg
    • 6.6apg
    • 3.8rpg
    • 37% FG
    • 0-3 3PT FG
    • 59% FT

Wow, that’s something huh, he was really the defining factor in that series.

How about Rondo wins a ring when he actually does something.  How about that?

Now I’m not knocking Rondo as a player, he’s one of the best playmakers and pickpockets in the league.  But don’t sit here and tell me that he’s better than Chris Paul, Deron Williams, and Derrick Rose.  Put Rose, Paul, Williams on the Celtics instead of Rondo and I guarantee you that they would lead the team in scoring and they would have a better record.

His overall game is superior to these guys. He handles all these guys well. Outside of that st1 ever playoff game for Rose he has a low average against Rondo. Tony Parker dominated the C’s b4 Rondo came and now they rarely beat them. Rondo’s D is underrated cause it’s on par with KG who is the best. I have seen Rondo keep J Wall right in front of him and take the ball from him like he wasn’t the ball handler that Wall is. He attacks all the best PG’s and exposes their weak D on a regular basis. His IQ is off the charts, speed off the charts,Quickness, toughness, second to none. His mid range J is good just does not shoot it often. He is at 30 percent from 3, but does not shoot it often. Their is nothing going on out there that he does not see. Triple double averaging in the playoffs and thats 2 playoffs in a row running with that so it’s consistent. None of these other PG’s will do it come playoff time. None. Rondo= not perfect, but the best PG in the game. I’m done.

Man first off, let the points of your response show how educated your thread was. Second, your really going to compare what Rondo did against Rose as a ROOKIE in the playoffs? He had one of the best playoff series ever and almost beat the Celtics with garbage. Yes Rondo played great that series, he really lit up Brad Miller on the screen and rolls, surprise…. Ill admit Rondo was a better player then Rose THEN,  Rondo is not better than Paul D Williams, Rose, or even Westbrook now. Rondo has 3 all-stars next to him, plus very good role players. The day Rose, Chris Paul, Deron , or Westbrook get 3 all-stars on their team and good not even average role players. Write there name down on the championship trophy, because they are far and away the favorites to win it. Rondo is a great pg, but best in the league? Come on now the dude has such a huge hole in his game, none of the other PGs i named have a big hole in their game. And if you say Rose with defense, please get off this thread because you have not watched one Bulls game this year, or you think steals makes you a good defender. The Bulls are one of the best defensive teams in the league w/o Noah, and  Boozer is probably playing the worst defense in the line up. Give a lot of credit to Coach Thibs but Rose’s defense is not anything near bad anymore, I would say its slightly above average now.

There isnt a GM in the league that would take Rondo over Rose if they were asked to choose between the two.

First off dude you need to lean how to talk, go back to school and take some more grammar classes because you seriously need it.

2nd Rings have nothing to do with who is better.  One person don’t win a ring.  It takes A TEAM, AN ORGANIZATION, AND COACHING TO WIN A RING.

What has CP3 done?  How about he was drafted 4th overall to a team that was terrible and didn’t even have a home arena.  When he got to the Hornets it was right after the storm and they didn’t even know where they would be playing.  Despite all that, and the fact the Hornets roster wasn’t anything special, he lead them to one playoff birth after another and gave a whole city hoped that was in grave need of some.

Imagine Rondo being drafted into that same position….He would not of done what Paul has done not even close.  I’m a huge Rondo fan and have been since his days at Oak Hill, I love pure PG’s and rangy athletes and for the first time since Gary Payton here comes Rondo who was both.  When he started the season off with all them gaudy assists numbers he was my vote for MVP.  But dude can’t shoot.  Like defenders play 4 foot off of him in the lane his shot is so bad.  Rondo will never be a threat scoring either.

Rondo couldn’t even make team USA over Steph Curry, enough said.

What about Rondo’s averages against Cleveland last year, which was the best team in the regular season? Rondo is the main reason they won… With the exception of KG, Paul and Ray played pretty bad. Being able to get past Cleveland was their biggest test last season. We can rip at Rondo for his performance in the finals, but the Boston’s front line was totally outclassed in that series. That’s the main reason they lost.

    Cleveland series: 19ppg, 12apg, 6rpg, 2spg.

Oh but I do agree with you about being sick of people who are being hyped.

If I see another thread about Anthony Randolph I am going to freacccing scream!!!!!

Anthony Randolph is a scrub.  Point blank.  There is nothing else to say.  I too was a huge Randolph fan because as mentioned above I’m a fan of rangy athletes like him.  But guess what?  He succcs!

I watched the New York Knicks training camp this year and saw this coming too.  If anybody ever played basketball in their life for a Real Team.  Then you would understand how important it is to practice how you play.  If you understand what muscle memory is, then you understand why players like Jordan could hit jumpers blind folded.  Anthony Randolph was a clown during the Knicks preseason.  His body language was terrible and even in the simplest drills he looked lost and disinterested, the same drills Amare was going full speed like he was getting paid to be there. Oh, hold on, they do get paid to practice.

Oh, hold on, they do get paid to practice.

I can see where you are coming from about the Hype. But remember MVP is for the regular season so those being talked about the MVP right now deserve it. But its true you should have to prove it in the playoffs before getting all the hype.

Anthony Randolph is one prime example along with the Clippers( people actually thought about playoffs fro them this year..lol), Laker challenging the Bulls mark, and of course Darko
