McDunkinMcDunkins note Bishop Gorman features the player i have been trying to tell you guys should be the #1 prospect in the 2012 class Shebazz Muhammad
Here is a look at what to watch for during the Bishop Gorman (Nev.) vs. Long Beach Poly on Saturday night (10 p.m. ET on ESPN2), which is part of the ESPN Rise High School Basketball Showcase Nike Extravaganza.
Bishop Gorman
The power of this team revolves around its gifted junior class that all starts with Super 60 SF Shabazz Muhammad. The left-handed, electrifying scorer is long and athletic. He operates effectively in the paint with mid- and low-block post ups and excels in the conversion game. When he gets rolling from the outside, he can go for big numbers. Roscoe Allen is the other half of Bishop Gorman’s scoring equation with his ability to hit 3-pointers and create for himself off the bounce from the perimeter. If he goes inside and utilizes his length, he could be a difficult matchup.
X factor
Ben Carter is a multi-skilled face-up power forward who will be important in the scoring and rebounding departments. He is mobile, skilled and must be a third scorer for Bishop Gorman to pull off the upset. In order to win
Bishop Gorman needs to score in transition and off second-chance buckets and the best way to do this both is dominate the boards. It is also vital that Bishop Gorman rebounds as a team and gets the first miss. By doing so, it eliminates second-chance points for Long Beach Poly and can get its running game going. The more baskets Bishop Gorman score in transition, the less it will have to rely on the execution against Long Beach Poly’s physical, stingy defense.Long Beach Poly
When you watch this team play, you will see a talented, experienced and physically-imposing defensive team. This team, which has four seniors, has great chemistry and a go-to guy in Boston College signee Ryan Anderson. When he plays from the inside-out and stays committed to the glass, he is hard to stop. He has solid inside moves, can hit 3s and is very effective at the high post shooting, passing or handling the ball. Not to mention, he’s very good in pick-and-pop or pick-and-roll situations. While Anderson is the go-to option, Alexis Moore facilitates the offense and is the leader of this team. The USC signee is a tough competitor with the ability to knock down a big shot.
X factor
Watch for sophomore Roschon Prince, who is a super athlete with long arms. He defends, rebounds and can fill the lane in conversion. Long Beach Poly will need his contribution, especially on the defensive end and don’t be surprised if he’s matched up against Muhammad at times throughout the game. In order to win
First of all, not get caught up with going undefeated because this is the toughest matchup of three remaining and just continue to play. Long Beach Poly must stick to its game plan and rely on great chemistry, cohesion and stifling defense — which is considered to be one of the best in the West.http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/basketball/mens/news/story?id=6091372

McDunkinSkip Bayless…gtfo
Muhammad looked nice leading Bishop to the win he scored 31 points, made 10 of 11 free throws and had nine rebounds
Even though he is a little left side dominant right now in my opinion his game compares to Rip but with more athleticism.
