sammybuckeye13ParticipantI know this is the second forum topic I’ve created today, but I couldn’t help myself…Marshon Brooks had 43 (17-28 FG) for Providence in a 2-point loss at #14 Georgetown, to go along with 8 rebounds and 2 steals. It was a truly amazing performance. Props to this site for having him in the first rd when no one has paid him much attention. Prior to the GTown game, Brooks (6-5/190) was averaging 23.3 ppg, 7.4 rebounds (yup), 2.1 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.3 blocks (???). He has good SG size and would be a prototypical 2 in the NBA if he would just put on 10 pounds. Anyways, he is a lights out shooter who can definitely create his own shot at the next level; great speed, very smooth player…and now he’s averaging 24 ppg playing in the Big East.

D-Rose1ParticipantIm a big fan of Marshon Brooks. A few weeks ago there was a thread about the top SGs in this class and I commented about Marshon and how I thought he could end up being the best. Today was a break out game and it wouldnt surprise me if he started moving up draft boards.

B FreeParticipantIt sounds crazy but he reminds me of Jamel Thomas Providence SG/SF 6’6 200 lbs who had almost identical stats. Thomas led the Big East that year in scoring and was a good carrer 3pt shooter and more of a sg then sf.
22.pts 7.2 rbs 2.1 ast. 32% 3pt
23.3pts 7.4 rbs 2.1 ast 34% 3pt

Providencefriars15ParticipantIm the biggest pc fan in the world and he reminds me of a poor man’s Paul Pierce. The most amazing thing about Marshon has been his improvement over his four years at PC. PC always has someone in the running for most improved like Greedy Peterson and now Marshon who could be POY in the Big East.

laxbro69ParticipantMarshon Brooks 24 ppg in big east gets no attention because hes on PC. Carmelo averaged 22 at Syracuse, AI 23 over his career at g’town. Marshon = Next Joe Johnson. If he doesnt get drafted I will be so pissed. FRIARTOWN
