afree15ParticipantIf you asked most people they would say Kemba, but he is so inefficient and his stats are inflated due to Uconn’s out of conference schedule. recenetly he has been extremely inefficient.
I think that the Preseason Big East POY Austin Freeman is more deserving. I mean 46% from 3 and 53% from the field is very good especiall for a guard. Although he hasnt been as clutch as Kemba, he has still had some big shots like last Saturday at Nova. Plus he puts up big numbers against good teams.
What do yo guys think?

jas225ParticipantAfree15???
hmmm austin freeman 15. haha, now wonder you have that opinion.
Kemba has been great, his field goal percentage numbers arent as great now because he is talking a lot of shots.
Other names could be thrown out, Hansbrough, Gibbs, Wanamaker, Fisher, Freeman.. every team has a great gaurd or two putting up big numbers. But i think Kemba is still out front.

TyrekeJonesParticipantKemba is basically the team, it is not his fault he needs to carry his team, he has a couple decent teammates but none of them are consistent and can be relied upon night and night out.
That is why Kemba is still my choice for Big East POY, heck even NPOY, he has taken the Uconn team where nobody even expected them to be right now at this point, he has hit clutch shots for his team with the game on the line, and has been relied upon heavily on his team to perform every single game. He has not been playing as good as of late, but you still cannot deny or argue the fact what he has done with his team is truly amazing and he has been a great player doing so.

afree15ParticipantI not I am somewhat biased in my opinion, but look what Freeman has done with his team.
Chris Wright and Jason Clarks numbers are down this year, and no big man to play with (dont even say Julian Vaughn is good because he is not).
It wasnt like Georgetown was supposed to be that good this year either.

abcdefghijklParticipantI think Kemba Walker will be the big east player of the year. Honorable mentions: Ashton Gibbs, Corey Fisher, Marshon Brooks, Ben Hansbrough, Austin Freeman, Kris Joseph.

Providencefriars15ParticipantIf you dont think Marshon Brooks is in the running you’re crazy, he has outplayed Fisher and Joesph this year definitely.

K.LOVE THE ALLSTARDon’t forget when picking conference player of the year you only account for what they did in conference not out of conference. Stat wise you would only count his stats in conference.
Right now its between Marshon Brooks and Austin Freeman with Kemba trailing
