    You get to select any one of these players as a rookie, which one would you draft with the first pick?

    Derrick Rose

    Blake Griffin

    Dwight Howard

    Dwight Howard due to the fact that he effects the game on both sides, offense and defense

    at the time of their respective drafts I probably would have taken 1. Rose 2. Griffin 3. Howard….knowing what they would turn out to be it would be reversed though….

    Not Rose. Teams dont typically win with score-first PGs. Rose is explosive but Id rather have a wing or a big man to build around.

    I would have to take Griffin over Howard. Griffin is alrady one of the best scoring big men in the league as a rookie. He has post moves, mid range and can even knock down the three even though he doesnt shoot it much. Plus he is the most physically dominating player in the league. Hes the quickest jumper I personally have ever seen. I think Howard might be equally intimidating on defense and has improved his offense. Rebounding is pretty even for both I would think with maybe a slight advantage to Griffin.

    What gives thr definite advantage to Griffin is that it would be easier to find a big physical canter a la Kendrick Perkins to put alongside Griffin, where it would be more difficult to find a really good scoring 4 man to put along with Howard which is a necessity if you want to win a ring.

     Call me crazy but I’d go with Blake Griffin, this is depending on the current roster though.

    id have to go with Dwight simply because he is there are so few franchises centre’s in the NBA anymore.

    and they have proved to be better franchise cornerstones.
