I think its about time for the pistons to trade richard hamilton. The teams that need a 2 guard desperately are chicago and neworleans. My only concern with both of chicago and neworlearns is does rip fit in defensively with both of these teams being two of the best defensive teams in the league. Can he buy into thibs or monty’s defensive systems?

I think he might struggle with the defensive systems to begin with since hes not known for his defense. But whether or not he can fit in defensively he would make either club a better overall team when he joins.

Nobody really wants to take on the two years left. Next year is guaranteed and the following is almost entirely guaranteed ($9 million of $12.6M). CAA is going to try to tack him on with whatever team tries to get Melo, but there isn’t a big market for him alone.

I agree that nobody will take Rip due to the fact of his contract. In addition he is getting old

^^^Exactly, the potential Rip could bring is the type of play contenders would still like to get for something cheap.

    J.O.,Bradley,Nate,1st rounder for Rip

Haywood,Deshawn, and one of Roddy/Dominique for Rip

Dunleavey JR.,TJ Ford,Tyler Hansbrough for Rip, Villanueva or Maxiell

    Memo,Hayward,Bell,Price for Rip, Ben

    Curry,Randolph,Azabuike,Mozgov for Rip, Villanueva

Those are the best situations that Rip could find himself in now certain orde. Hopefully he makes it out of there, he really deseves it. Billups is right in saying that Rip, Tayshaun, and Ben deserve better from the organization.

He would good for a contender who need another offensive weapon he still moves great without the ball and can score in bunches. His contract is the problem though

The reason he hasnt been traded yet is because Dumars wants more than what he’s really worth, an idea could be Rip for Troy Murphy because he’s about to be let go and Rip can bring that team some leadership
