The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantAfter another tour around the site I’ve come to see a few things constantly POP up, so here’s my honest view of the league, players and posters…okay so I see we all love talking point guards, a little too much sometimes…I think we feel they’re the quarterback of the nba so off course they dominate the discussion…but when does it go too far, when we minus everyone who suggest trading a point guard or thinking a certain point guard may be better than the other…let’s just say our point guard preference is like politics and religion…its all about your personal choice…Rose, Rondo, Westbrook etc etc etc …they’re all fine choices and I won’t hold it against you if you favor Deron Williams over Chris Paul…now that we’ve had our point guard intervention and climb that 12th step we can recover…everyone list your point guard of choice and we will all know where each other stand in the never ending debate…who would you want as your starting point guard…

llperezcp3 is not blowing anybody away this year, but watching him play he is just in complete control of the game. He rarely forces anything. He makes the right play almost every time down. He gets 2.2 turnovers a game, but considering how much he has the ball in his hands and is asked to do, thats a good number. He has okafor shooting a career high 59% from the field. He has marco bellineli looking like a starting sg. If ariza could buy a jump shot(36%fg) paul could get even more assits. He is leading the NBA in steals at 2.7 per game and is playing terricfic defense. His percentages are great as well, 48%fg…47%3pt…89%ft. If you play off him, he makes you pay.
Guys like rose and westbrook might be able to take over games more frequently, but they will also force things and hurt the team from time to time. Paul is just a steady player and leader and id take him leading my team to battle any day and feel confident.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantMy Top 10 Point Guards and Why
1.Chris Paul-His Intangibles separates him from the other point guards..Has the ball in his hands almost all the time..But always seems to make the correct play…And have very few turnovers…
2.Derrick Rose-The Total Package,Clutch player,Makes amazing plays,Becoming a Leader,Shooting has improved and has Star appeal…
3.Deron Williams-Great on both sides of the ball..
4.Steve Nash-His intensity, shooting, passing, ability to make teammates better and his love for the game over shadows his lack of defensive skills..
5.Russell Westbrook-Hard to decide between him and Rondo, but i believe Westbrook can be a 1st option 1 day, while Rondo will never do that..You want some type of offense from your point guard…
6.Rajon Rondo-He has worked hard to make himself an all star caliber player, even though everyone said he will be a career backup….Going to the Celtics and playing with 3 super talented players really showed him how to play the game the right way…It was a Blessing..
7.Tony Parker-Parker might be the Ben Roethlisbeger of the nba..By that i mean no matter how much he wins,he still doesnt get respect…Despite being a point guard Tony is always among the top field goal shooters in the league..
8.Chauncy Billups-Has dealt with so much turmoil this year, but still shows he among the league’s best…
9.John Wall-Is averaging 9 assists as a rookie..1 day might be the best in the league..But he has to learn how to play in the halfcourt….
10.Jason Kidd-Despite being in the league for over a decade ,he still sees and make plays no else can…shooting has improved every year….And solid defender….

iguapops420ParticipantCP3 is on another level right now IMO, which isn’t something you would know just by looking at stats. Like perez said , the guy is playing to perfection right now. Mistake free. He’s truely being a quarterback right now. Kills me watching him have to waste his prime with crap like Trevor Ariza, Marco Bellineli, and David West. Imagine CP3 and Rajon switching places.

T-Wolvesfan13ParticipantD-rose. He is the next great Pg! And no one is beating head to head.

I May Be WrongParticipantbasically, llperez covered it all. CP3 is not 100% healthy but he’s still getting the job done on both end. No offense to any Hornets fans, but that Hornets team should be at .500 I think but CP3 has them at a surprising 30-16.
