The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWhich of these trades makes more sense. Which is more likely to happen. Are any one of these ideas a good option at this point in the season. Please give me some feed back. Option 1 Trade Iguadola and Battle to Memphis for OJ Mayo, Hassem Thabeet and a 2011 first round pick. Option 2 Trade Lou Williams and Spencer Hawes to Charlotte for Dj Augustin and Nazr Mohammed. Option 3 Trade Evan Turner and Marresse Speights to Minnesota for Michael Beasley and Wayne Ellington. Can any if not all of these trades work. Could they all be done in one season/off season.

CodySLCParticipantI dont think the numbers would match up but Trade one might work, but minus the pick. Two i like Augustin over Williams. But i think they would move Speights before Hawes. And 3 i dont see why you would trade Turner in his rookie season?

Mr. ChicagoParticipantAll of these trades heavily favor the Sixers.
I see none of them going through.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThe Wolves would trade Beasley for Turner. They loved Evan during the draft and tried to get him from us. I think a deal that gets them Turner and A replacement scorer like Speights in the post would be accepted by the Wolves. The Grizzlies need to move Mayo and a talent like Iggy is the best they’ll do in the trade market. Battie is a solid veteran big man and maybe the Grizzlies get Meeks as well. I don’t think the Grizzlies need another young player in the draft. They need an impact player like Iggy and an experienced big man to defend in the playoffs. The deal involving Lou Williams and Hawes for Dj and Nazr is deal the Bobcats would make for the long term. They have no Center and need scoring off the bench. They’ll likely draft a Pg in the lottery anyway. Branding Knight, Josh Selby, Kemba Walker or Demitri McCamey would all be good choices with their pick. It’s a case of killing two birds with one three point shooting stone.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantTrade 1 the Grizzlies get an versatile swingman that perfectly fits next to Gay,Conley and Z-bo. They lose the player they benched for a rookie and Tony Allen. They can have Meeks and Battie for good measure. They give us a 7 foot bust in the making and a pick in the late teens early 20’s. The sixers take all the risk with this trade. They get 2 young players that haven’t exactly set the nba on fire and a prospect in the 16 to 22 range.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantIf you followed the Draft you would know that the Wolves loved Evan Turner more than any team in the entire league. We wanted to make a deal then but things fell through late during trade negotiations. A deal that sends Turner and Speights to Minnesota for Beasley and Ellington makes perfect sense. The Wolves get the prospect they covetted and a young big man with offensive skills for a player many believe isn’t staying in Minnesota long term. It breaks down very nicely for both teams if you look at all the evidence. Turner is a perfect fit for the triangle offense and Beasley could be the scorer the Sixers need going forward.

SwatLakeCityParticipantThe first one looks like a potential trade that would work. The second and third ones are just dumb. Williams plays on the bench and I don’t think Charlotte would be willing to give up Augustin, their full slated started for a backup bench scorer. They seem to like Augustin a lot. And if the Twolves give up Beasley for Turner then hell will have officially frozen over in other words not gonna happen. But the first one looks golden, just take out that pick.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantHe wanted Brooke Lopez. Larry Brown fought for Augustin and by the time time Larry was fired Dj was in his dog house. U could say picking Dj got Brown fired. His inability to make the jump to legit starting point guard and replace Felton immediately is what likely spelled doom for Larry Brown in Charlotte. Now the Bobcats have a hole in the middle. Hawes has the offensive potential to become a Brad Miller type in Paul Silas’s system. Lou Williams at the very least gives them the same offense as Dj on any given night. The Cats are most likely going to get a top 10 pick this year and could get a potential franchise pg. Brandon Knight or Josh Selby seem like good options as they can score, defend point guards and run the up tempo offense Coach Silas runs. They can start fresh with a top pick Point Guard, 6th man Lou Williams, 7 footer Hawes and whomever they net after trading Jackson,Wallace or Diaw. They’d be better off keeping Captain Jack and Wallace, instead offering Diaw’s expiring contract next year. This deal makes sense. Especially since the Cats can give the Sixers one of their overpaid Centers in the process.
