Hi its BenParticipantHe’s playing against MSU and at the half he’s been doing a good job (5-8 fg 11 points, 6 rebs, 2 blocks). I’m not watching the game but if there is anybody that is can you tell me how he is doing it? Thanks.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantBenson reminds me alot of Larry Nance..Nance had a slender frame ,but was a good rebounder ,nice outside shooter and ran the floor well….He’ll be perfect playing beside Dwight Howard….

JoeWolf1I think he’s the next Stephen Hunter, he’ll play in the league for a while, block shots, but won’t crack the 1st round.

Mr. 19134ParticipantI think Benson is a clear cut late first rounder. I’m happy somebody finally made a thread on him. He has been overlooked. Benson got a lot of skill, he can hit a jumper, got a few post moves, is very fast, and jumps on springs. To me he is a Stephen Hunter clone or best case scenario Sammy D.

B FreeParticipantI was coming on here to talk about him too. I missed the game and was wondering how he did against a legit opponent? I saw him last year but was wondering if he looked bigger or better. Also to some one who is familiar with Mich St, how is Payne looking and progressing? Thanks.

B FreeParticipantYea I saw that too. I just haven’t seen him play live this year and I remember thinking last season if this guy can add 20 lbs he could be a good NBA player. With the lack of big men and true centers he could slip into the bottom of round one with a good year.

scoutguruParticipantYou seen Oakland schedule? They have like the toughest non-conf schedule out there. Like 5 big ten opponents, its just brutal. And all on the road too. Idk if they did that so they can have Benson go up against better talent to have good showings in front of scouts, but maybe it’ll work out in his favor, we’ll see.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantThis guy intrigues me.
I think Oakland could be this year’s Cornell in the Tournament AKA a surprise Sweet 16 squad.
