llpereziverson at 4 is crazy becasue lack of championships? I guess that means pau has to be number 4 since hes the only other guy on the entire list with a titel right?

delfamParticipantnot that, it’s that Iverson’s playing style doesn’t really equal championships, he looks to score first and not pass as a PG and he isn’t a good defender at all. He’s fun to watch and is a HOF, but he’s not a team player.

llpereziverson in his prime was an mvp who should have won 2 mvps instead of one. He could flat out take over games. He was not a great team player, but he also never had a really great team around him. If he didnt take 25+ shots, those sixers teams dont win. We’ll never know how he would have played with better teammates other then melo and by then iverson was a year or two past his prime.

llperezfor example, you have carter, stoudemire and durant all ahead of iverson. Well what do they do great besides score? ANd iverson was a superior scorer to all of them.

delfamParticipantBut Iverson is a PG and has the ball in his hands so it’s his decision on how to control a team, those other guys aren’t PG’s so being a scorer isn’t such a big deal.
Edit: Nope, didn’t change

delfamParticipantI’m not arguing he’s great, I’m arguing he’d never win a championship, and because of that shouldn’t be high on the list. I say the situation he was in with the Sixers was perfect, he was the go to guy with good role players around him. IMO if he played with other stars in his prime his teams would be worse cause of his playing style, his situation on Philly was ideal for his style.

llperezare my eyes decieving me or did you change your list delfam?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 12/08/2010 - 11:21am #454498

llpereziverson did not play pg half of his career. ANd even being selfish, he still got 7 assists. Guys like lebron and wade are just as much pgs as iverson was, and they take a lot of shots and dominate the ball too.

delfamParticipantalso think you have Elton Brand to low on your list, the guys is a career 20 and 10 guy, just cause he was on a bad team all his career doesn’t mean he should be that low.

llperezelton could be higher, but other then one year with the clips, he was never what i would call a superstar. A guy you could build a team around. And now he is just a solid player in the nba. I would roll the dice with one of the younger guys in hopes they become something special ahead of brand who i know is just gonna be really solid.

SwatLakeCityParticipantDelfam, Durant is amazing. He can take over games really easily. We all know he can top the 30 points a game very easily against any competition. Plays great D. Plays hard. Get at least 7-10 boards a game. And he is doing at a very young age. So he can only get better. He should definitely be ahead of CP3. Also Amare should be up close to Webber and Brand. Probably should be higher. Other than Bosh, He is the elite of PF nowadays. He can do it all, he just doesn’t have the focus to do so. But that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be up with Webber and Brand. You are crazy.
