The Bucks announced Thursday they have released second-round draft pick Darington Hobson.
Hobson suffered an injury prior to summer league play and never was able to play in an exhibition or regular-season game for Milwaukee. He underwent hip surgery on Oct. 12.
The 6-7 Hobson was the 37th overall pick in the June draft after being named the Mountain West Conference player of the year as a junior at New Mexico.
The Bucks roster is now at 14 players, one under the NBA maximum.

With Bogut and Delfino hurt along with Gooden having lingering foot problems, they simply cannot afford to have a roster spot taken by a second round pick who can’t play.

sammybuckeye13ParticipantShame, if he was taken by a team like the Knicks (who considered him) where he could’ve fit in better immediately with pt he could have had a Landry Fields type season, I was high on him.

JNixonParticipantNever was a fan of Hobson. He reminded me of Mardy Collins.
