Russell Westbrook

I don’t mind seening KD injured, cause we get to see Westbrook explode like this. The Rose-Westbrook debate has been going on for a while and in my honest opinion, if Westbrook was on a different team and was the 1st option, he could be better than Derrick Rose. Then again I still need to see Westbrook as the 1st option before I can make a proper comparison.

I like how he steps up when durant doesnt play. facing double teams yet still beating them. He cant be stopped on offense. Teams know he cant shoot that well yet he still gives you 24 a game

 Wow… did yall watch the game? Westbrook was bottled up for 3 quarters by JORDAN FARMAR. And Farmar torched him when he played off screens. He’s lucky he only finished with 5 turnovers, because he was forcing a lot early. Westbrook made his impact primarily in broken plays and on the boards, where he was relentless. I will give him tons of credit for the effort he played with, but he made a lot of mistakes. He shut out Green far too many times. The way Green was shooting, 40+ would of been easy if Westbrook had his head up a little more. He a very good game, and did most of his damage when it mattered most. But yall are glossing over very real hole in his game. He couldnt hit a shot outside of 18 till 4 left in the forth.

Westbrook isn’t very polished, which is amazing, because he’s already so good. That makes me think that he will end up being a fair amount better once he works out the kinks in his game.

This would be more like the game immediately after against the Giants where his accuracy was spotty at times and he had some tough running plays, but did what he need to do to gut out a tough win. He became a one man team at times for good and bad, evidenced by his no assists in all overtimes. Hes a spectacular player, but he has very real weaknesses. Rose is closer to having no weakness (consistent defense, and forcing turnovers, and passiveness).Westbrook has uncommon strengths (again weakside defense and rebounding) that mask deficiencies. (Range, consistancy, half court play). Its all a matter of preference, but everything I said about Westbrook was true, and with everyone saying how great he played, I watched a player that went hard for 50 minutes, did spectacular things and did some dumb things too. Is that wrong or unfair?

westbrook is on fire. but he did take 32 shots, making 14 of them.  thats not ALL THAT EFFICIENT. especially when the dude takes no threes.  10 of 14 from the line was ehhh about 69 or 70 percent. not too bad.  In my opinion, his stats for this particular game were overblown.  Nice job down the stretch there, but I think hes getting too much credit.  I will say tho he did a damn fine job on the boards today.
