MelParticipant38pts 15rbs 9asts .. my oh my.. Without KD, he and Green stepped up. It was the Nets but that is helluva night!
If he can work on that jumper a little more and he is better than Rose by a wide margin.
Right now, they are about even but Rose doesnt play with a top 5 player either. something to think about
Sorry if I compare the two so much, but its inevitable because of the same draft.

ZeroParticipantI don’t mind seening KD injured, cause we get to see Westbrook explode like this. The Rose-Westbrook debate has been going on for a while and in my honest opinion, if Westbrook was on a different team and was the 1st option, he could be better than Derrick Rose. Then again I still need to see Westbrook as the 1st option before I can make a proper comparison.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantI do. KD is on my fantasy team! Anyway Westbrook is playing great right now. We can all say that Rose and Westbrook are even but Rose defense is terrible.

stanford hoopsI like how he steps up when durant doesnt play. facing double teams yet still beating them. He cant be stopped on offense. Teams know he cant shoot that well yet he still gives you 24 a game

MkadozaParticipantWow… did yall watch the game? Westbrook was bottled up for 3 quarters by JORDAN FARMAR. And Farmar torched him when he played off screens. He’s lucky he only finished with 5 turnovers, because he was forcing a lot early. Westbrook made his impact primarily in broken plays and on the boards, where he was relentless. I will give him tons of credit for the effort he played with, but he made a lot of mistakes. He shut out Green far too many times. The way Green was shooting, 40+ would of been easy if Westbrook had his head up a little more. He a very good game, and did most of his damage when it mattered most. But yall are glossing over very real hole in his game. He couldnt hit a shot outside of 18 till 4 left in the forth.

Im Your FatherParticipantWestbrook isn’t very polished, which is amazing, because he’s already so good. That makes me think that he will end up being a fair amount better once he works out the kinks in his game.

MkadozaParticipantSlightly different. This would be more like the game immediately after against the Giants where his accuracy was spotty at times and he had some tough running plays, but did what he need to do to gut out a tough win. He became a one man team at times for good and bad, evidenced by his no assists in all overtimes. Hes a spectacular player, but he has very real weaknesses. Rose is closer to having no weakness (consistent defense, and forcing turnovers, and passiveness).Westbrook has uncommon strengths (again weakside defense and rebounding) that mask deficiencies. (Range, consistancy, half court play). Its all a matter of preference, but everything I said about Westbrook was true, and with everyone saying how great he played, I watched a player that went hard for 50 minutes, did spectacular things and did some dumb things too. Is that wrong or unfair?
Post your scathing review of Rose and his terrible game and weakness and vent your animosity there. Dont bash me for having an informed opinion.

stanford hoopsman was i wrong.. watching espn all they are showing is how many turnovers westbrook had..lol…i believe the 4th quarter is part of the game and he did shoot over 50%. Noanimosity for rose because westbrooks play speaks for its self over and over and over
Anyway back yet another amazing game from westbrook. has this man stepped his game up or what He’s almost averaging a triple double the last 5 games and durant says he’s following westbrooks lead. now thats a great compliment

JJeff6Participantwestbrook is on fire. but he did take 32 shots, making 14 of them. thats not ALL THAT EFFICIENT. especially when the dude takes no threes. 10 of 14 from the line was ehhh about 69 or 70 percent. not too bad. In my opinion, his stats for this particular game were overblown. Nice job down the stretch there, but I think hes getting too much credit. I will say tho he did a damn fine job on the boards today.

I agree with this 100%.
You have to love Westbrook’s tenacity though. Dude just goes after it.
