This nyophite for the knicks is having an unbelievable season for a rookie. for rookie: 3rd in scoring, 1st in fg% (qualifiyers), 6th in 3pt%, 4th in ft%, 3rd in mpg, 1st in NBA in fg% for a SG (.040 more than 2nd place), 2nd rounder starting for potential playoff team. as of now the guy better be 3rd in ROY votes behind griffin and wall

Im surprised with his production. The only thing that worries me is these 2nd round picks who suddenly are rotation guys or starters as rookies tend to fall off the face of the earth fast. But others turn out like Wes Mathews, hopefully that is where Fields is headed.

Also change of coach and philosophy is hurting Thornton. He may wind up being moved to a team that loves his shooting more than his D or he could work on his D and get more minutes but Willie Green is playing a nice all around game so it may be tough for Thornton to crack this rotation especially with Jack over there who is a combo.

Fields is versatile enough to play for a lot of teams so I doubt he falls off plus he is one of New York’s better defenders.

with him doing this well now new york can trade for melo without giving up toney douglas and wilson chandler. Melo for gallo fields and curry’s contract along with a first rounder they get from indiana in a trade of anthony randolph

That unknown Gm was probably just some one a News person made up. I noticed they do that alot. If it is/was true that trade would have happened by now because im sure The Knicks would be on the phones 24hrs a day to make that happen
