BasterdInABasketParticipantI dont understand it. Maybe I just interperet this wrong but I dont I understand it when athletes are “humbled” by an award or something. Like Lebron wins the MVP and says hes humbled that hes included with the greats like MJ bird and magic as an example. Im just wondering how that is humbling at all. I just saw a article “Lebron humbled by Time Person of the Year Nomination” and thought Id ask.
Im not taking a shot at Lebron or anything but I dont understand what that really means.0 - Posted on: Mon, 11/15/2010 - 3:02pm #435375

llperezjust means the person is not being overly proud or arrogant like of course they deserved it. They are acknowledging how honorable it is to be recognized for something.

ChewyParticipantIt is a compliment to the award itself. Has very little to do with whether the person does or does not think he deserves it.

creepingdefParticipantJust a way of being modest. If you respond, "Oh yeah, I totally expected this nomination bla bla" you’re gonna come across as pretty arrogant.

BasterdInABasketParticipantOK so its more them being humble about an award more than winning the award being a humbling experience i guess
