td8118ParticipantBeing a big Bulls fan, I would really like to see this team get over the hump to an elite team in the East. While it is tough to judge them without Boozer, I think its fair to say that the talent on this roster is not championship level.
Mark Jackson and Jeff Van Gundyspoke about getting Carmelo and how you do whatever you can to add to him to your team. While I agree with this sentiment I also understand the hesitation to include Noah in a deal. He is such a big part of what they are doing, very much the heart and soul of their team. However, if his inclusion was a must to getting Melo, I would very hesitantly pull the trigger on the deal. The Bulls are lucky to have Taj Gibson and he could do a lot of the same things Noah does (rebound, defend at a high level, block shots)
What would the Bulls have to realistically give up for Melo?
And….
If Noah and Deng were included in the deal(along with James Johnson and 1st rounder) would the Bulls be good enough to be a title contendor?

JoeWolf1I think if the Bulls were going to pull the trigger they would have done so before signing Noah to a big extension. I think the deal is dead now.

Mr. ChicagoParticipantI am glad the Bulls stood pat, I like Noah a lot on this team. I mean he leads the league in rebounding.
I hope the Bulls offer (Gibson, Deng, Johnson, & a First rounder). If they take that deal – which I believe to be a fair deal – then great, if not, then go ahead with what we have. I mean we haven’t even seen how Boozer is going to be acclimated into the system. I am excited for this Bulls team. (First time in a long time, haha).

Moon RiverParticipantThere is a reason the Bulls want to keep him and the Nuggets want him. Noah just flat out gets what it takes to be successful at his position. He does what few people in the Association are willing to do and that is rebound, defend and work hard all of the time. There are some negatives (planter facitis) and his wild streak (the guy likes to be out on the town) but as long as he controls these things (to the extend that he can) he is a great piece to the Bulls puzzle.
I agree with Mr. Chicago. If you can get Melo without giving up Noah- I think you have to do it. If not, you go with what you have.
