Tyreke JohnsonParticipantI am curious to see everyone’s opinion on who the top 5 players in the NBA are at the moment
My list is
1. Kobe Byrant
2. Lebron James
3. Dwayne Wade
4. Dwight Howard
5. Chris Paul
Honorable Mention: Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony
The fifth spot was by far the hardest for me because I had to really think, at first I was going to put Melo there but the more I thought about him as a player I thought Paul affected the games in more ways then Melo and was able to bring his teammates to the level he plays at which I really think in all honestly separates him from Melo, Melo is a great scorer but Paul can score, distribute, and is a great leader for his team and has proved why he is the best PG in the NBA (People lost sight of that due to his injury last season). Durant gets credit due to his young age phenomenal skill set offensively and his leadership qualities and humble old school approach to the game make him not only a great player but allow him to handle himself well on the court and keep his composure.

JoeWolf1I’m a little biased here, but Derrick Rose has been playing out of his mind lately. The Bulls without Boozer are just an average team, but Rose’s play has been phenominal and I think he should be in the honorable mention category.

Tyreke JohnsonParticipantSorry, I didn’t mean to downplay the level of success Rose and Ellis have had or anything because they are playing exceptionally well at the moment but I feel right now in this moment in time neither or in the top 5 best players in our game right now, it is no knock on their games because I feel both of them are great in their own right and if Ellis can lead his team to a playoff seed and if Rose continues to put up these types of numbers while winning they have a chance to be MVP candidates but I just feel that the players I listed are better then them at this moment in time. I appreciate the feedback though guys.

Cardinal_FanParticipantUntil Dwight Howard shows a consistent offensive game i dont believe he is a top 5 player IMO, i think KD deserves that spot.
