ChrispyParticipantNot a Celtics fan, but met the guy several times and he is a class act. Truly a nice man. Glad to see the good guys succeed once in a while!

mj23mj23besteverParticipantthe wheel chair incident taking a banner from a fan in public and tossing it like a 5 year old throwing a tantrum thats a good man? really

ChrispyParticipantHe was infinitely approachable and talkative, which is a lot different than most people let alone pro athletes. And how does the wheelchair incident make him a bad person?

HitsterParticipantCongrats to PP on joining the 20,000 points club, with 4 years on his deal he could possibly get up towards 25,000 points if you take left year’s level of just under 1,300 points as his max level now going forward. Vince Carter will probably be the next player to reach 20,000 points sometime this season. After that unless Antwan Jamieson plays well over the next couple of years, LeBron is likely to come through and reach 20,000 points before anyone else.

JNixonParticipantThat wheelchair accident let me know that I really don’t like him lol. That was like, the gayest situation imaginable. I really thought he like….tore his ACL or something.

He’ll probably be on the first ballet. The guy has two finals appearances, a ring, finals mvp, 20k points, and not to mention is going to hold alot of records for one of most storied franchises in America…he will be a first ballet.

llperezif we were just talking about how good he was, no i do not think he is a hall of famer. But his accomplishments probably get him in. Winning a title, winning a finals mvp and being very consistent for a long time all with one franchise. I thin he’s in.

HaleParticipantExactly perez. Was he ever a top 10 player in the NBA? For sure was never top 5. He has accomplished a lot, but he was never what a would call Hall of Fame material. He’ll get in, but he isn’t THAT good.

llperezi agree yup yup. He was never a top 5 player and maybe only top 10 a year or two. Even his finals mvp award was him averaging 23ppg with vladamir radmanovic mostly gaurding him. But being one of the all time great celtics and acumilating those stats on that franchise for his entire career will help him look good.

JNixonParticipantI don’t like the way Paul Pierce acts, but he has had a Hall of Fame career. There is no question about it either really. He is an underrated star in the NBA, and he has all types of accomplishments to prove it. I don’t think it should be a question of whether he’s been good enough, because he has been, just a matter of how soon.
I do doubt that he’s a 1st ballot guy though.
