The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipant1. Who on your Team is on the trading block
2. What is their value in The NBA (Talent wise, contract, potential)
3. What value do you want your team to get back in a trade …What player(s) or type of player(s),pick(s)
4. What type of deal or value would you hate your team to make (Talent, Contract)
5.Comprise a realistic( or optimistic ) trade and lets see if it’s as possible as some seem to think to find a deal for every Team…

IndianaBasketballParticipant1. TJ Ford. Mike Dunleavy Jr. Jeff Foster.
2. All three players are on the last year of their deals. Ford still has talent and can help a team. Most likely as a backup, but he can fill in as starter. Dunleavy Jr. is still a clever offensive player. Foster is a veteran big who still rebounds, defends and hustles.
3. I’d like to get back young players or draft picks that’ll mesh well with our other young players.
4. Another player with a big contract that’ll hold us down for too long.
5. I’m not really into making up trade scenarios, but I’d like to get Jason Thompson from the Kings. I think he’d fit in here.

JBickart14ParticipantSasha Vujacic
veteran big man for depth, trade to save cap and/or 2nd round draft pick
trade him for someone that will ride the bench at a higher price than sasha

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantI’ll start with The Sixers…
Elton Brand…For obvivious reasons…His contract is huge and he never fit into our up tempo style offense…him being on the team lessens the Value of Thad Young and Mareese Speights…now we may never see how good they can really be in Philadelphia…The Bottom Line is Brand is still a great low post player/defender, he has lost a step but his skill and will are there…He’d be a key piece to any contender as a 6th man, backing up both Pf and C’s…He’s a very good rebounder and low post defender…he can score buckets in bunches coming off the Bench and defend the best low post player at the same time…Brand’s biggest knock has been health and system…now that he’s healthy he’d be great on a half court team with other low post players and shooters…Dallas and Milwaukee are two Teams I see as viable trade partners…The Mavs are in Win now mode and can use a 3rd Big man with skill, toughness and the ability to have the offense run through…My Offer…Tyson Chandler and Shawn Marion for Elton Brand,Thad Young and Spencer Hawes…The Mavs get a Veteran Power Forward who before injury was putting up 20 and 10 nightly…One of the few guys that did on a regular bases…He can spell dirk and allow the Mavs to go Small with him at Center…Brendan Haywood has proven to be a great rebounder/defender in this League…Hawes is another 7 footer that the Mavs have to throw out there nightly…Thad Is a great young piece and can give you more than The Matrix Refurbished…this deal to Me makes the Mavs a solid Championship contender…They add Brand’s experience,Young’s youth and athletic ability and Hawes talented yet unfocused offensive skill set and 7 foot size..Although the Mavs take on Brand for the remainder of his deal, they get Young and Hawes for the fading Matrix, while losing Chandler for a seasoned vet…You definitly get better from this deal if your the Mavs…Young could be a starter next to Kidd-Terry-Butler-Dirk-Haywood…Their bench would be stacked too…Barea-Roddy-Thad-Brand-Hawes…could allow the Mavs to get Terry in his 6th man role while getting bigger in the starting line up…The Sixers lose a few key pieces to the puzzle(Youth,Size and Skill,Veteran Leadership and toughness), but getting out off Brands Contract could be well worth it…The Matrix could be released or let walk off the books…Getting Chandler would be the reason for pulling the trigger…A young athletic Center with USA basketball experience…He’s the type of shot blocker/rebounder we need and could build around…Having him on the roster brings the run and gun/full court defense back to Philly…Speights is given the starting role he needs to thrive at the PF position…having a true Center would trickle down to the rest of the Defense…We’d have a young player at every starting position…Getting out Brand’s deal and having a little cap room will help get a few glue guys…The Line Up would beStarters-Holiday-Iguadola-Marion-Speights-ChandlerBench-Williams-Turner-Nocioni-Brackins-Battie-KaponoIt smells of top 5 pick this year and letting Brand and Thad go will lock it up…Getting a True # 1 scoring Option…I’d love Perry Jones or Jared Sullinger right now…either could be the Franchise Pf….Perry could be a KD/KG style hybrid forward…Sully could be an inside force, a lot like what Brand was meant to be…resigning Chandler, Drafting a Franchise Player and signing a skill guys (3 point shooter at SG,Back Up Point Guard/Center)0 - Posted on: Mon, 11/01/2010 - 2:11pm #424764

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantBrand is a tough guy and a good starter…As a # 2 with great shooter Granger for kick outs, Brand could get the Pacers into the Playoffs and make them that scarey team in the 1st round…Lou Will is proving he’s a 6th man type Pg/Sg and can carry the team offensively….He’s holding back Jrue and vice versa…Collison and Williams can work for spurts like it does in Philly…The lack of a great Sg is what is holding back the Pacers and without involving picks or young players like Rush,George,Stephanson ( who I would actually want if I’m Philly ) The Pacers can still do that…Leaving 1 big expiring in Dunleavy leaves room for that or PF…You’d still have your pick and Mike’s expiring contract to get a young 2G and Pf…
