    According to a league source, the Timberwolves have asked the NBA to look into whether Portland knowingly traded them an injured player when the Blazers dealt Martell Webster to Minnesota for the 16th overall pick in last summer’s draft.

    Webster on Monday underwent surgery to repair a disk in his back and is expected to miss about six weeks. He said the injury dates to last spring’s playoffs, when he was undercut and fell hard in a game against Phoenix.

    The Wolves are likely looking for a draft pick as compensation.

    I seriously doubt Portland traded Webster because of a back injury that’ll keep him out only a month or so. He was traded for the same reason Bayless was… Not enough playing time.

    I doubt anything comes out of this. They have no way of proving that the Blazers knew he’d require surgery.

    IDK but aren’t you(as the Wolves) supposed to let your team doctors check Webster out before the deal goes through?

    Minny is looking really stupid right now.  I can’t believe they are even complaining considering they have like a million small forwards.

    The T-Wolves’ team doctors gave him a physical and he passed it.

    I doubt anything comes out of this. They’re just complaining.
